What's there to be excited about?
Literally all the good shit can't happen for at least 7-8 years because Bruce is too young and by then based off the show most people should know he's Batman by then because they'll have grown up around him or have long term links to him (Ivy's dad being killed as a suspect for the Wayne murders, Cat and Ivy living in Gordon's home etc) so the show is just defeating it's purpose trying to even get to that point. Gotham suffers until a hero rises with the help of a good cop willing to do bad things or turn a blind eye to do the greater good for the sake and salvation of the city... that's meant to be the whole Batman/Gordon dynamic. As it is they are too involved at this point and the desire to try set up villains they can't even use properly without a Batman around seems a little pointless.
Like a light skinned slave, Luscious Fox in the muddafukkin' house! But I couldn't help but wonder what he was tryna tell Bruce tho? Like he was insinuating that Mr Wayne SNR has already started developing some of Batman's expensive toys? Or simply that Wayne SNR was already in a fight against the currupt dealings taking place by board members at Wayne Enterprises.
