WOw...I'm actually shocked.

Well they've avoided a mini-riot. People still gonna be pissed when they give this cracker like 10 years probation.

i just started a forum on the verdict over in >The R & R< forum, thinking it wasn't to be posted here in SL...we can bring racial ordeals here now?

Janlklow will either merge or delete this one.

I dont see how this is wholly a race issue. It only becomes a race issue because whites like when cops murder blacks.

I just hope if they do riot they only target cops. Tearing up somebody's business ain't got a damn thing to do with crooked cops.

I don't see why people are surprised. I called this the day after it all happened. We all know it wasn't an accident, but legally, there is no way to prove it. You know his cop buddies stuck up for him and here was too much room for reasonable doubt. There was no way he was going to get hit with murder.

Should of have been a murder conviction but I know the Law aint gonna do that.

Don't take this the wrong way when I ask this because by just reading this alone you can't hear inflection and tonality, but know what the legal definition of a murder is? A murder is a specific crime that has to meet a specific criteria. According the California Penal code 187 this is a murder:

187. (a) Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

and this is the definition of involuntary manslaughter:

192. Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without

malice. It is of three kinds:

(a) Voluntary--upon a sudden quarrel or heat of passion.

(b) Involuntary--in the commission of an unlawful act, not

amounting to felony; or in the commission of a lawful act which might

produce death, in an unlawful manner, or without due caution and

circumspection.

You're saying that cop HAD INTENTIONALLY want to kill dude. That he got to the BART station and made up in his mind that he was going to pop nigga. I underlined the portion that is pertinent to the conversation and what says that the officer actually did. I seriously doubt the officer's intention was to kill Oscar Grant. Rex, so you believe that punk ass cop's story about him going for his taser? It's improbable, but not impossible. However, do believe that the cop didn't formulate in his mind before hand to kill somebody. Also what you're saying to that D.A. should of overcharged the officer. What would've happened was the jury would've came back with an acquittal.

I'm all for sending the police to jail when they fuck up. To tell the truth, I believe that former cops should have to do their time in population with everybody else and make it the best way they can. I don't believe in people having to do time for shit they didn't do and I don't think that cop's intention was to murder Oscar Grant.

So what would be the definition of first degree & second degree murder in California? Who knows what his intent was at that moment, he could of been thinking "I'll kill this guy if he doesn't cooperate" no way to read his thoughts. I'm not saying it was his intent when he went into the station to kill Oscar Grant but it could of have been at the time when the officers were trying to arrest him.

cosign. the system is rigged from top to bottom against black people. cops are the biggest gang in the USA and we need to start recognizing that and deal with them as the occupying force that they are, regardless of complexion, because once they put that uniform on they all the same. u never see black cops fighting against this crap in mass.

They had him on his stomach handcuffed and shot him point blank in the head. All of the cops on the scene showed no emothion.
