Oh sembach is in the middle of nowhere. But it's still commutable to the above places
I will share 2 silly stories. I rather not bring up the real shit (right now) because it will upset me and i dont feel like having that shit on my mind for the rest of the day.
I was air force. 94-2000. texas and north dakota. i got my honorable and g.i bill so it served its purpose in my life.
But what i cant honestly remember is, which of these 2 stories happened first. May not be funny to yous guys, but its 2 of my fondest memories about my service.
So one night, im working missiles sites with this female, and we were guards while the nuke was open, down below. the maintenance people worked underground, WAYYYYYYY underground and the hatch was open and we provided security. So we trying to amuse ourselves for 8-12 hrs and was in a silly mood that night. We noticed that there were these lizards, walking around the top of the site and kinda moving fast. We're trying not to step on them as we walk about. I say to the sista, "we should kick them down the man hole hatch." As soon as i said it, it was like the funniest thing ever, to imagine, them maintenance assholes getting rained on by lizards that we could not name. NOW.....
Low and behold, one lizard (these things were about an inch thick and 6 inches long. pause) walked and fell down the manhole by itself. WE WAS ROLLIN. But then, another, and another. They were doing it on their own, and all you hear from below is "awww jeez, what da fuck!!!!" It was a good 30 ft down that ladder so all we heard is "splat, spalt......splat." We had a good laugh and the guys didnt believe that we didnt throw them down.

The second of my 2 part story, same situation. working missile sites, providing security, middle of the night. Im working with this white dude and he is 6'7. Big muthafucker. The maintenance is working down below, (pause) and we chillin up top and see this, this, ok, missile sites are inclosed by a fence, with alarms. This animal we seen off in the corner, in the shadows, was too big to even get thru. King kept on sayin " what the fuck is that?" as he continued to check it out, and crept closer and closer to get a closer look. (white people. lol)
So im leaning on the truck, and lookin and King is getting closer and closer and repeating "what the fuck is that?" Now let me try to explain because i still to this day, dont know what the fuck it was. it was bushy. about 3 ft tall on all fours, and looked like a ram mixed with a sheep, beaver, and a fox and was brownish black. I think it was a badger. im from cleveland. what the fuck is a badger lol. King got within 4 ft from it, was right there in its face "what the fuck is this?" and because the topside of the missile site are covered with rocks and pebbles, King picks up one and throws it at him, and thats when it happened....
It Charged him! Straight attack mode! and King tried to retreat but because he was on gravel he slipped and fell while this monster is trying to get'em! King started running towards me and my instincts kicked in and i jumped in the vehicle, BUT I LOCKED ALL THE DOORS!!! I dont know why i did it, but he tried one door, and another, while that animal was right on his ass, and he ran around the vehicle twice, before i realized what ive done. I think i was thinking, if he jumped in, the door would have still been opened and it would have went bizerk inside the truck with me in it. Aint no sense of both of us getttin fucked up.
So i let him in, and he gets in sweating and huffin and puffin and scared and shaking. He's like "Dude! why the fuck did you lock the door???!!!??" im like, i dont know!!!!! He said it was staring at him with red eyes. and it wasnt moving. and he didnt know if it was real, because i asked him why he throw a rock at it.
True story. King was really good guitar player. i never knew. worked with him many nights. chilled with him (them) once and i was like whoa because of his skills. Even tho u work with people of different backgrounds, you never really know them, until u get to know them.

trust and believe, i know. she was really my friend. she was young, so down to earth, and kinda needed guidance because she was from the streets of the bay. but i never came at her like that. With his big ass booming army voice. Im like, in my little 18 year old mouse voice "cleve-Land Sar-gent!" He goes " Cleveland huh? aint nothin in cleveland but the DAMN BROWNS."
Then he left to fuck with the next person in line. i was shook. it was just like a scene straight outta full metal jacket or major payne.

Wtf, I got out in 2012 went to flight school gi bill paid for it, voc rehab through the VA paid for my flight uniforms and MacBook Air and ipad, and delta hired me straight out of flight school because I was a veteran, and the new VA Id cards you can go to any hospital in the country and the VA pays for it

guess we all have our different paths or nah? i was just spitting the simple shit. sometimes when we get out, we have a false reality of the world. be prepared. glad it worked out for u. didnt for me because i was a cop on the inside and refused to do it on the outside. best thing to do is go into the career field u did while in, right? while, i wasnt about to accept a job where i got paid to police my people. thats just how im built. and i struggled because of that stance. it all worked out. but they didnt make me need to become a cop just because i had the experience. but i feel ya post. no worries. goat from me.

Don't get me wrong when I was getting out the army didn't tell me shit that was available to me, had to find out everything on my own and companies just started fucking with vets because they get tax breaks for hiring vets
