They absolutely will. It's bad enough having to learn the matchups for the stupidly large number of characters they have already, imagine having to learn 100+ match ups? Ain't no one got time for that. And as a result, it will just reduce the game to even more of a guessing game than it is already. It makes much more sense for the main tournament circuit game to be one version, which has to be Ultra. There will definitely be side tourneys for edition select mode though

I meant down the line years from now. When SF2 is played in tournaments they use edition select where you can pick old and new characters

I think people know this game Damn near in and out by now and the shit will be set in stone by then
