Dragon Ball Fighters announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC - it's 2.5D and developed by Arc System Works
Bandai Namco has announced a new 2.5D fighting game called Dragon Ball Fighters. Developed by Arc System Works, we'll be seeing this title released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide in early 2018.
A press release for Dragon Ball Fighters was leaked ahead of time, with the date on the document showing June 12th. Gematsu reports that the game will be a 3v3-based fighter that allows players to "determine the compatibility between characters and form a team of fighters."
The game will feature “ultra high speed battles” and “flashy special moves," much like you'd see in the actual cartoon show.
Deviating from the long line of 3D Dragon Ball fighting titles, Dragon Ball Fighters will be 2.5 -- which means battles will be fought on a 2D plane, but with 3D character models.
As of right now, only two images of the game have been shown. In them, we see Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Freiza, Perfect Cell, and Majin Buu, which tells us that the game will definitely be taking some of its roster from the Dragon Ball Z story arc.
