Beyonce fans 'among least intelligent

Your taste in music reflects your intelligence with fans of Beyonce among the most stupid and Beethoven listeners the cleverest, it is claimed. Fans of Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z also ranked poorly in terms of IQ and lovers of rapper Lil' Wayne were deemed least intelligent.

The study was carried out by Virgil Griffiths, a PhD student in America, who compared students' scores in SAT exams with their favourite music acts and genres by analysing data on social networking sites.

Those who prefer indie music are most intelligent, while pop, rock and gospel fans were all ranked at the lower end of the scale.

Fans of legendary acts like Queen, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Sinatra and Bob Marley are all around average and above when it comes to intelligence, according to Griffiths.

Radiohead, U2 and Bob Dylan all have intelligent fans, he said.Fans of Beyonce, Timberlake and Jay-Z all tended to score below 1,000 on SAT scores, with the average being a mark of 1071 out of 1600.

Fans of Beethoven were way ahead of the rest with an average score of over 1300.

On his website, musicthatmakesyoudumb, Griffith describes the results of his study as "hilarity incarnate".

He introduces the test by saying: "I've listened to artists who after listening to I thought to myself 'Wow... loving this rubbish says a lot about someone and how much they got going on in their head'. Could one's musical tastes say something about intelligence?"

Rappers are the absolute WORST these days.If the song isn't about $,"ho's" or

weed,then it's not a song.Beyonce is an entertainer.She has her fast pace club songs

& her slow jams.Not every song she makes should be a slow jam :\ that's just not Beyonce.

it's not about her only making slow songs...it's the songs she makes are not that good and have no shelf life...can you really see her running around a stage screaming "Diva" in 20-30 years? The majority of her songs sound the exact same...insert name for women, insult men, tell men "in order to get me buy me this", throw in some horns and a Swizz Beatz hook and there's 80% of the album...that type of repitition from ANY artist is annoyign but even more from the one's with actual talent

Okay,there are SOME rappers who have their serious songs & have their "money,ho's,weed,"songs. These "money,"ho's & weed," songs are degrading & have negative connotation.Sure, people can get up and dance to them,but I don't understand why rap artists can't make upbeat songs with out the all the negative stuff they talk about.Beyonce's "diva-licious" upbeat songs DO NOT comare to rapper's upbeat songs.Beyonce dance songs are uplifting and positive.I don't consider her fun,dance songs as "bull sh*t."Just because it's a pop song that doesn't mean it's "bs," or "aweful."Pop is an actual genre. Madonna is a famous pop artist, that doesn't mean her music is sh*t.If I was Beyonce,I would be doing the same thing she is doing now. Lol,Beyonce does not insult men.She uplifts who ever wants to be uplifted.I love

her upbeat songs.I went crazy when "Video phone" with Gaga came out.Her diva-licious

songs do not get old to me.Sure, it will get old to some people,that's fine.I understand

not everyone is going to like her.

& If you think "diva," is a "bad influence"then idk what to tell you.lol There is nothing wrong

with getting "cash & money."Getting cash & money= being independent & being able to get
