At this point Beyonce is just a brand who doesn't utilize her raw vocal abilities with the God awful songs she puts out.

As a singer myself I can recognize her vocal range and she has the voice but downplays it with the more Pop geared sounds. Her true vocal abilities are displayed more so earlier in her career and with more soulful/gospel songs. Sounds like "Diva" and this new joint of her does absolutely nothing for her.

Does she have vocal talent? Very much so.

Is it often utilized these days? No.

And don't use the couple songs she puts out that have a softer edge as examples as that is now just a smidgen of what she is doing these days. That is not how she is marketing herself.

Troof.com. She is talented vocally. I could give a shit whether she writes her own shit or if she can dance or act. I think she is trying to cater to a certain demographic...and/or she has the wrong people in her ear guiding her career down a more financially lucrative path ie. mainstream pop.

Rappers are the absolute WORST these days.If the song isn't about $,"ho's" or

weed,then it's not a song.Beyonce is an entertainer.She has her fast pace club songs

& her slow jams.Not every song she makes should be a slow jam :\ that's just not Beyonce.

this is the problem I have with consumers and fans.

You act as if, if beyonce put out culturally sophisticated and critically acclaimed music, the masses would love her even more. They wouldn't.

Consumers are fickle. Fans are void of reason. But at least the demographic that supports her ACTUALLY supports her. Too many of us talk about "artist dumbing down music" but don't support the ones that aren't.

If there was a large consensus that mainstream music should be critically acclaimed and sophisticated, then it would be expressed through the power of purse that consumers hold.

But its not. And it won't. Cause ppl are dumb and for the most part uncultured. So it never will be. We just gotta let these artist live and FULLY support the ones we believe in.
