20 minutes. It was the Mars candy factory. First day there was about 80 people packed in the break room waiting to be called. I couldn't even hear the names being called because it was so loud in there. Plus the environment was too depressing everybody there had to wear black tees and the employees were jail birds, ratchet bitches, foreigners, and meth heads. I said fuck it I gotta clean record I don't need this shit and bounced.

Ever heard of the Kirby vacuum cleaner? They post hiring ads online paying $400 a weekand are easy to set up interview appointments. You go in for a rushed 15 minute interview, filling out a lil information only to get a call hours later saying that you're hired and telling you when to come in for training. You get there with like 20+ other people and the manager does a bunch of demonstrations with the vacuum and telling you shit like how to muscle your way into people's homes and not leave until they agree to a down payment. Real shiesty sounding shit, especially for a door to door vacuum seller in the 2000's.
So I googled "kirby vacuum scam" and found tons of articles, videos, and witness statements about how they pile a bunch of "employees" in a van and take them miles away far away suburbs and drops them off for hours at a time, but not before making them sign additional contracts that basically lets them pay you whatever they want to.
I pulled up to the Kirby office the day of, saw the vans lined up and the manager with this look on his face like he was about to get away with murder. I told them niggas I'd follow them in my own car. They made a left, I made a right and never looked back. A week later, I saw an ad for a different company located in the same place offering the same wage but different name.
Fuck that shit.

Caught a job in Yonkers at the waste water treatment plant. Was there to do paper work and monitor gauges and things ....... First day while on tour through the facility, a pipe burst and they called for all hands to help with containment and clean up. Why did it have to be a stage one sewage pipe ...... all the chemicals that was used to clean the waste in it too ..... it was literally eating the soles off our shoes and the worst smell ever! I bounced right after that cause the smell had me sick ...... Got on the bus and people were moving to other seats to get away from me. When I was getting off the bus at my stop, the bus driver was like "Bruh, you gonna need to find another way to work if you plan on smelling like that everyday!"

The plant called the next day and left a message when I didn't show up. They said they know it was a rough first day and things like that don't happen often. They offered to hold the position open for me for the next 24hrs. to decide if I was still interested ...... I never called back

I was working at this place called Winguard as a temp-to-hire. I worked this job for approximately 2 days. It was a tire factory & that shit was hard af.
The first day I arrived at the job, they put me in the back of a parked 18 wheeler truck (that was stacked with tires from the halfway point & to the ceiling) with this white boy. Our job was to climb on some tires & knock the tires down to the floor, so we can stack in a set of fours.
But before we stacked them, we had to stack every one with a green sticker facing upward then after we stack in a set of fours. We had to take a wheel dolly & clamp it around the set of tires & pull them to this assembly line & keep the line filled up. It was 6 lanes we had to keep running & if you get behind then a yellow light will flash & it'll eventually stop the line.
First day was aight because I was helping the white boy. The next day I came in, they put me on the truck by myself................Why did they do that for? Them niggas had me working hard like John Henry in that bitch........ I couldn't keep up with the line for shit then this nigga came to help me for a little while, so I can catch up but after I fell off again. I was boiling hot because they know one person can't do that shit alone. Then it was mandatory that you had to wear pants, so I was hot af doing that shit. After it was over, I hopped on the phone with these temporary service people & told them "mannnnnnnnnnnn don't send me to no shit like that anymore".
