My broad Vietnamese. Eating rats is largely frowned upon over there like eating dogs. Her dad from the south where it’s poorer and eating that type shit more common. Him and his partnas drink snake blood at least once a year. Yup, snake blood...shots of it, mixed with vodka. Tried the hip me to that shit....hell naw. At least he still got the plug on shark fin soup which is good as fuck.

But back to the rat, it’s really a few steps below eating a pig and forcing your baby to drink a cows milk (which has been normalized to us).

No I'm not a vegan.

I eat beef (steak and hamburgers), Chicken (usually boneless) and Fish (Salmon or Tuna)

But I stopped eating pork when I started getting involved in Islam in the late 80s. Then I stopped eating shellfish when I realized it was basically the same thing as pork. Shellfish are bottom feeders and will basically eat anything.

anybody see that ooooold show on i think it was hbo..america undercover or something. they did one on animals people ate and how different cultures viewed different animals. show came out a looong ass time ago, like 20 years or so, but the scene that stuck with me forever was when they were cooking the cats...
