He's clearly been listening to his old school LL Cool J shit and using that as the basis for this.

Rapping with a bit of an old school twist would be dope if he can deliver it right on the rest of the album. It's been working for Nas for his last couple albums. Quicker flow, more punches than what these other rappers are using.

More of those bars that hit you beat by beat than the crooning and elongating.

This song definitely could've been much better had he sat on it for a while and then went back and re-recorded it, with some honest opinions thrown at him.

Sadly, though, i was right. It's worse than it is good. Maybe a few more listens in a few more days might change that. But i like the direction I think he's trying to go in, but he failed in his attempt.
