My nigga... Whats the problem? My only knock is there aint alot of substance subject matter wise but the lyrics are on par. All the featured rappers spit with resurgence and hunger and of course the beats bang... Its the Chronic 3 album without a weed song...
That nigga is a weirdo, that's the problem. Talking bout "we" got played LOL
Stew callin me a wierdo, imagine that.......

You not lyin on none of that, production is dope, and mixed down on the highest level. Lyrics is on par, dre sound like he was spirited and all that. It's just off. I'm out here lookin for an uncompromising west coast gangsta album. Dre's first two albums sounded like we was walkin through compton, so when I hear the album is called "compton", I wanna damn near go to the swap meet. This didn't give me that feeling, it's dope, but the soundscape is off, the environment is way off for the most part. This is slick for dre putting the stamp on his career which is exactly what he's doing. This is an album about Dr Dre, cool... But Dre's albums was about compton before. The perspective is different, which translates to the vibe bein off for me. It's a 8/10 for what it is, but I want big screen tvs, blunts, 40s, and bitches.. Game's song is the best example of what a nigga was lookin for, he painted that picture.
I feel the traditional (sterotypical) topics like being a gangsta, smokin weed, fucking bitches and dippin in the 64 on switches are missing simply because the nigga is in his 50s now... outside of KDot everbody on there is 35-40+ years old. Its a more mature album

Dre was around 35 when 2001 dropped. I don't have to listen to them because they've been ingrained in my brain... But go back and listen to the chronic, and 2001 back to back, then play this right after that. Just because you grow don't mean your core sound change. Most, if not all of the linchpins of a Dr Dre album aren't there sans crispy production, mature or not.

From my understanding, this is the movie soundtrack. Correct?
If so, shouldn't this album be compared to other soundtracks that he's produced.
