Dre didnt really contribute shit to AEOM, Daz produced damn near the entire first disc and Johnny J produced most of the 2nd. Dre only produced 2 songs.

Still cs about him being the Goat.

So......niggas are able, to say with a straight face "dr dre swan song lived up to his standard of excellence" hahnahhanahhanhahahahhah. Either I'm insane or im ahead of the curve. This shit was decent at best.

My nigga... Whats the problem? My only knock is there aint alot of substance subject matter wise but the lyrics are on par. All the featured rappers spit with resurgence and hunger and of course the beats bang... Its the Chronic 3 album without a weed song...

That nigga is a weirdo, that's the problem. Talking bout "we" got played LOL

Stew callin me a wierdo, imagine that.......

You not lyin on none of that, production is dope, and mixed down on the highest level. Lyrics is on par, dre sound like he was spirited and all that. It's just off. I'm out here lookin for an uncompromising west coast gangsta album. Dre's first two albums sounded like we was walkin through compton, so when I hear the album is called "compton", I wanna damn near go to the swap meet. This didn't give me that feeling, it's dope, but the soundscape is off, the environment is way off for the most part. This is slick for dre putting the stamp on his career which is exactly what he's doing. This is an album about Dr Dre, cool... But Dre's albums was about compton before. The perspective is different, which translates to the vibe bein off for me. It's a 8/10 for what it is, but I want big screen tvs, blunts, 40s, and bitches.. Game's song is the best example of what a nigga was lookin for, he painted that picture.

Dre with another classic joint

Kdot to alot of ppl dropped another classic joint

The Game finna drop The Doc 2

YG coming with another hot one

40 Getting a look at the BET awards killing Sean on his own shit

Finna have the #1 movie in the country

Giants won the world series

Warriors won the NBA finals

The super bowl is finna be in the bay this year

WEST COAST STAY WINNING!!!!

In 2015 this album deserves to be overhyped(to the people who thinks the album is being overhyped) We aren't getting the best music these days.. Nigga when Dr. Dre can get off his ass and drop an album better than a lot of niggas who just do music full time, we must celebrate! We could've said this album was overhyped a few years ago but not in 2015. We got all these rappers dropping decent music. Dre and everybody on this album did their damn thing! I'm not going to say it's a classic or anything, just living in the moment.

As a rule, never read IC comments about the music before listening to it yourself first unless you like being swayed to disappointment.

That said, this joint is solid so far I'm on talking to my diary. Not much traditional west coast sound, but whatever it's still new ish.

I fell asleep listening to the album last night so I only made it about halfway through it. I have to agree w/ you on a lot of points based off of what I've heard so far. It's not a bad album at all but something about it just doesn't sound/feel like what I've come to expect from Dre. Dre is known for changing the game w/ his albums. Maybe my expectations were too high or perhaps I need to listen to it in the whip to let it soak in. I think I fell asleep somewhere around Deep Water, so there are still some songs I have yet to hear. I'll give it a couple listens today, but as of right now I give what I've heard about a 7/10.

Imo it would be a very very Bad thing if Dre came back after 15 YEARS and changed the game.

However, the fact that he can provide us with that HIGH QUALITY after that long hiatus is still problematic imo.

Now that he is alledgedly done after this, Kanye West is our only hope to bring us some fresh production.

Im not mad at you choosing Dre as the goat, but this album is not on the same level as those others listed IMO. Dope album but nah

I feel the traditional (sterotypical) topics like being a gangsta, smokin weed, fucking bitches and dippin in the 64 on switches are missing simply because the nigga is in his 50s now... outside of KDot everbody on there is 35-40+ years old. Its a more mature album
