I want my children to think for themselves and view the world with an open mind, like myself.

That is what I'm teaching them. There's more to everything that we see and read and it requires further thought or research.

My beliefs now differ than they were 10 years ago. Then, I had a belief in god and viewed the world a lot smaller. Now, I'm an atheist and I view the world bigger. How things work, who controls them, why etc.. Definitely not what my parents are or were. They're pretty closed-minded.

I would hope my children will grow to be smart people who make their own decisions and not allow religion to dictate their lives. I definitely would be disappointed if they decided to be religious but I wouldn't let that be known and it wouldn't change our relationship. I would never want to ruin anything with them.

The only thing I would never stand for is racism. If that was their view, I'm not sure how I would handle that. Hopefully, based off my parenting, they'll make wise decisions within the group of friends they'll make.

probably not

i wasn't well off growing up and i want my kid to have everything he wants and needs.

he'll probably be spoiled with a privileged mindset, but that's worlds better than having him grow up jaded by poverty.

I don't want mines to believe the the epitome of success is to be seen by many, but to fulfill the purpose of birth even if it's seen by none. I think too many people think they got life all figure out because they can get a lot of attention.

nah we completely different people...

for starters this little dude growing up with a dad and grand parents on both sides of the family...

he already further ahead in the game than i was

Doesn't really matter if they think about shit the same as me. The main thing for me is that they come to whatever conclusion on their own. If they look at shit the same as me, I want it to be because they reached an age where they could be objective and then thought about it and said, 'Yeah, I think dad was right about this shit. Makes sense to me.' as opposed to just believing in it because I believed in it.

plus i think my son woulda beat the shit outta my 2 year old self....

shit i think my 2 year old son woulda be the shit outta my 4 year old self....

that lil nigga waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy tougher than i was as a kid.....

I doubt my kids will have the same views on things as I do as my views and beliefs on everything are kinda out there.

Me and my fathers see eye to eye on almost everything, when i have a child i don't see why this pattern cannot continue.

How many fathers you got, son?

1 grandfather and 1 father my great grand father died 5 years ago.

Nah, my kids think that Daddy has an endless supply of money and all they have to do is nag me enough and eventually I'll give in.

When I was my son's age I had a paper round and bought my first pair of Nike with my own money, this lil nigga is used to 5 - 6 new pairs of creps every year.

I wanted to give my kids what I was never able to have growing up, but I can see that this has created an easy come, easy go mentallity with very little appreciation for things they have.

This is all my fault. But I still refuse to have my kids feeling they can't have shit cause daddy cant afford it. So now, lil man has to earn them 5- 6 pairs of new Nikes each year.

But in all, I want my kids to form their own opinions on life. Not believe in shit simply because I do. Come to your own conclusions and lets debate. I'm looking forward to heated discussions around the dinner table , and for my kids to be able to give me something to think about when it comes to there views and and why they think a certain way.
