It's not for me to allow, or disallow. I can only make my feelings known on the subject. If they respect that, great. If not, then it's on me to decide if I wanna deal with that or not.

I don't keep in contact with exes, unless it's a situation where it's unavoidable, as is the case with my daughter's mother. Beyond that, there's no reason for me to keep in contact.

I personally feel that keeping in contact with exes when in a new relationship is both inappropriate and disrespectful. But that's just me. Your results may vary.

Exception to the rule more like it. I just had my ex from high school try to get at me...high...school. And I'm old. I've had 2 platonic straight male friends and both of them tried at some point. Anyone I've actually been in a relationship with, we are friendly but friends? Nah. I have never not had an ex try. And that's across the board with females I know, men will be men.
