If u accuse some one of a crime an you kill yourself....BECAUSE you where lyin why wouldnt i be happy your dead.... .you tried to lock me up!!!

@Westie if you have read the transcripts of their phone call afterwards do you think he is guilty of raping her, yes or no?

This was a classic "ambush" interview.

There's so many racial underpinnings to unpack from it.

-Confronting him about a rape case he was acquitted from, and asking him to apologize smacks of white, societal female entitlement.

-It's a constant media doctrine to always put white on top of black (no matter the differences in social or economic status). Robin Roberts was following her master's orders in executing this narrative.

- Feigning ignorance about Nat Turner, speaks volumes about the American (indoctrination) system. She proudly lamented this, which is code-speak for "I don't concern myself with that black history stuff, look how egalitarian & white washed I am."

He handled that interview like a man confident in his exoneration of the charges. In addition to any lingering social stigma that may be used to tarnish his name and reputation.

You two black women have a problem with black men being black men.

Dude is an arrogant prick because he wont show symapathy for a chick that tried to get him locked up for some shit he didnt do?

Well damn.

All black men are like him?? All black men are arrogant pricks? Is that what you're saying?

Nah what im saying is you have a problem with black masculinity if you call what we all saw in that interview an "arrogant prick"

Black men SHOULD be able to handle themselves like that brother. But they let women like you, obfresh, the interviewer and others shame them making them SOFT.

Then yall asking where the real men at next month. Cycle continues.

I'm not even talking about that interview, I'm talking about in general.

I don't understand why this is all coming down to black women vs black men, because there's a black interviewer? Like there aren't any black women on his side? Some of yall are so quick to blame all black women for everything.

Which is why i was careful to point out a specific type of black woman.

Either way ive seen the brother speak on police brutality and systematic racism in other interviews that have nothing to do with his movie.

I dont see an arrogant prick, i see a confident black man that is unaplogetic in his blackness.

Their is a difference between rape and being taken advantage of this white bitch got taken advantage of

So it's not rape then if the woman's unconscious right? Like passed out and someone fucks her because that's along the same lines. Because you can't say no and someone took advantage of her unconscious body.

Take responsibility for your actions she shouldn't have put herself in that situation. If I pass out drunk and wake up with my wallet missing I have to chalk it up to poor decision making on my part

Stealing a wallet or (anything else) is a CRIME.

Just like rape is a CRIME.

With or without conscious defense from the victim.

Every person should be as responsible and aware of their surroundings as possible, to mitigate bad things from happening.

But that certainly doesent absolve the criminal of all responsibility. Quite the opposite ...

Because with that logic, at what point does it stop being the victims fault?

The threshold of "she should have done ____" will always evolve and adapt to fit the situation.

Thereby rendering the actual CRIME meaningless.

You see how backwards that is?

We can protect ourselves from being vulnerable and fight societal injustices and the same damn time.

It's not either or.

And if I had to choose - the latter would be the more worthy cause, not the former.

P.S.

Homey did absolutey nothing wrong in this interview. Robin should be ashamed of herself.

Having your wallet missing and your body forcibly entered into are two different things. That is fucking ridiculous. So a woman needs to take responsibility for passing out and leaving her vagina unattended but the nigga who

forced himself into that vagina shouldn't?

Yes and no. No, no matter how intoxicated a woman may be she should not be taken advantage of. Ever. Yes. Because she lucky some nigga didn't want her organs for profit. The world is filled with fucked up people. If people keep walking around oblivious to the fucked up world we live in and put themselves in situations where they CAN be taken advantage of its hard to have sympathy for them. Like I said. You wouldn't walk into the woods with a slab of beef on your back. Why would you walk around so inebriated that you can't defend yourself?

@leftcoastkev ....I feel that post bruh. I'd express the arrogance of a privileged white person in interviews going forward if I were him. Tell them how silly it is and obviously they don't understand the American justice system. I'd tell em let's move on or were done here. Film is already known worldwide. Y'all seen how they have mixed BLM in the commercial for the movie tho? I was like: BLM wasn't around back then. But I see what they're not trying to do but doing to stir the pot.

I haven't. Can you post a link to the commercial?

Thats some wild shit

I've heard white people say that black people are criminals bc they're too defiant.

The two black women in here sound like they buy into that "he's an arrogant prick" bc he won't apologize for something he was acquitted of 17 years ago...
