This week yeah, if next week's strike is not from the DLC then anyone without the DLC should be able to play it, but that is me guessing lol...
If you want to progress past 30 you will need to get the DLC...
You can grind your way to 30 now without doing the raid and without the DLC...
You will need an commendation to purchase the new legendary gear, whatever the fuck that means, just more of the same grind...
Still on the fence about buying any expansion pass, the content just ain't there...

I don't understand why you would need the help of a 3rd party website in order to play a segment of game you purchased, you should be able to just play it without having to go to 3rd party website in the 1st place, it's a great work around don't get me wrong but just shows how lazy Bungie/Activision were, they could have had something like this on their own app and website or actual matchmaking for Raids in the game, SMH...
