I need info on Green Lantern. What's going on with that character? The only DC books I follow are Deathstroke, Constantine and Grayson.

I just jumped in a couple months ago. To my understanding is the Convergence event happened and it left the green lantern corps (Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Bolrogg, etc.) in a different universe and they are all currently trying to find their way back home to the main universe. Everyone thinks Kyle Rayner is dead, but hes just been kidnapped by the Omega Men (awesome book btw) and they are trying to convince kyle to join their team. Hal Jordan is the only remaining green lantern in the main universe and he doesnt even have a ring. No ganthet, no guardians, no nothing. Just some cool gloves and he somehow has the Green/Willpower energy so he is able to fly, constructs, and go into space and all that good stuff.

As far as who he is battling I cant recall at this time, i picked it up at issue 47 and it just released issue 50 recently but i havent read passed 47 yet. Artist on the book is pretty dope at his role though.

I read War of The Green Lanterns so I think I can explain.

Hal killed Krona, who was once a Guardian for corrupting the Green Lantern Central Core with Parallax. Considering no Green Lantern should ever have the willpower to kill a Guardian he was considered too powerful so they took his ring.

During the events previous to killing him they found Krona had this weird gauntlet that gave off green energy and Guy Gardner took it. It must be how Hal has those powers now.

I'm currently reading Blackest Night.

I didn't know about the other colored rings until WOTGL. I don't keep track of this stuff that closely and I don't really like the other rings but Blackest Night is cool thus far.

Nice thanks jono. I like the red lanterns they are pretty dope. Indigo tribe have a cool history too. I got issues with 16-22 of Sinestro bUT haven't read them yet. I don't know much about yellow lanterns besides akrillo and Sinestro but I love everything about the green lanterns stories I've read so far.

Adams is one of the most quintessential artists in DC's history. A complete washup today but his work on Batman in the 70s and Green Lantern/Green Arrow are definite musts not just for fans of those characters but fans of the medium in general.

I have one or two neil adams. most of my batman old school collection consist of jim aparo one of the best to ever do it.

Harley Quinn Is kind of an Anti hero at the moment. I don't follow her book tho. Sidekicks are called the teen titans. Only got 2 issues bUT a good book imo. Yeah that's swamp thing back there. Looks like a plant hulk even has purple pants lol wtf.

Aparo was always my favorite Batman artist. I grew up with his interpretation.

That pic is just showing off the different sides of the DCU (Teen Titans, The Trinity, Green Lanterns etc.) it doesn't represent an actual team it's just a promo image for the entire comic book line in general.

Ironically Croc used to show up in Swamp Thing's book back in the day and whenever Swamp Thing showed up in Batman it usually involved Croc.

Oh dumb, i didnt even see the claws on the feet lol. He doesnt have his long mouth anymore and the scales looked like leaves to me. Wonder if he will be a big character in the first round of stories.

Im paying money for comics. I also download the weekly releases, the ones i buy are because I really want to collect the physical copies and not just read them. I download the rest so I can read all the tie ins and whats going on with each character. I probably spend 40-50 bucks bi weekly, got a good amount of books i follow. Primarily all DC titles.

I always pay but for every 100 bucks I spend I get 20 dollars worth of store credit so it all evens out for me.
