If you dont get a regular update from places like microsoft or pdf, or even java. You have a virus that is preventing it from happening.

download CCleaner and run that shit

then, download Malwarebytes and run that shit

delete all unused and unwanted applications/programs

delete any current version and all saved versions of Java on your computer than go to the Java site and download the newest version

backup your harddrive, and if don't want to do that, do a system restore using the latest date before your computer started screwing up

Backup constantly and fuck McAfee antivirus

Most viruses are dependent on antivirus bloatware in order for it to run

If you backup often-when you run into a problem, you can't just wipe clean and restart
