Bomani stated nothing but truth with the statement above but I honestly think people should stop thinking these entertainers should speak out on social issues. Some of them can't relate with what is going on with regular people because they are so far removed from the situation while other people just can't articulate their thoughts or are straight up uncomfortable with getting out of their comfort zone.

It's these people's right to keep quiet even if they do come off as lame for not saying anything. Besides I would rather somebody who has done correct research and has a decent way of conveying their message to speak on serious shit as opposed to a misinformed inarticulate popular face.

I disagree...I don't personally need any validation from entertainers, but just because you rich don't excuse you from being a nigga. Cam should know firsthand... can't count how many times he was labelled a thug coming out of college...it's a copout.

Oh, don't get it twisted I'm sure if any player knows how it feels it's Cam Newton but he could also fall under what I was saying as far as not being truly all that comfortable speaking out on the subject or like many have stated he just doesn't want to lose those sponsors. Either way it's his right to not speak on the subject and people shouldn't expect him to do so.

I'm over that Cam shit man. The dude is just now reaching his peak after 6 seasons in the league and he's trying to not fuck it up. Nigga was dancing like a mf though lol. Cam has never been the most articulate person in interviews anyway. He brings nothing to the table when it comes to this so just move on from him. I bet everybody is going to ask him about race now though to get that easy clickbait ass quote lol.

I'm not over it. Between that and his "it's not about race" comments, he's always gonna be at the top of the coon list. No respect for this nigga

KAEPERNICK JERSEY SALES HAVE EXPLODED SINCE ANTHEM PROTEST BEGAN

Although Kaepernick is being panned by the majority of media types for his stance, take a look at the tweet below to get a different perspective.

Yep, Kaepernick jerseys — once though to be nearly extinct in the wild — are making a dramatic comeback. That means somebody is out there watching, and being inspired.

Who's making money off of it?

It sure isn't Kap...

Yet, Hoteps get mad at Tariq Nasheed, a blk man, for making and selling DVDs ... i guess its okay, as long as blk men don't get paid.

I could be wrong, but NFL players dont get a percentage of sales like NBA player do.

Jersey revenue is collected in terms of license fees and this is then shared between the league and players. In other words Reebok has paid the NFL for the right to produce jerseys. It's this fee that goes into a pool of revenue that is shared with players, akin to TV revenue.

I don't believe there is a particular per unit bonus such that Polamalu would make more or less depending on how many of his jerseys Reebok moves.

Interestingly enough though, there is a penalty to any player who decides to change his number or name after a seasonal deadline set by Reebok. It's part of the licensing deal to protect the manufacturer and (presumably) their distributors from holding on to dead product. A player who still wants to make the jersey switch must effectively buy the back catalog of jerseys from the supplier. For example, when Chad Johnson changed his name to Chad Ochocinco in August 2008, he balked at having to pay Reebok's penalty for switching jerseys and waited until the 2009 season before he could wear official "Ochocinco" jerseys.

Thats cause black people are more fickle in their support of other black people than any other group in this country. Its a natural human phenomenon also though. I mean, look what happened to the dixie chicks when they criticized george bush. White people black listed them with the quickness. Even with that said though, we seem to jump shark way faster than anyone else. Especially lately. Im not sure why.

Not that i care, or agree with some things cam has said in the past on social issues. What i am concerned about, is a brotha who donates his time and money back to the community, especially to kids, who everyone was backing before for all the controversy of his dancing, is now labeled a coon and sellout by the community because of a difference of opinion, or now lack thereof.

It wasnt too long ago black women were shitting on colin for having a white girlfriend that was actually asian, and leaving his black gf for this new girl. Now hes Muhammad ali. lol

I wouldnt say everybody. I dont like to make knee jerk emotional changes as the wind blows. Also Cam said nothing eggregious. There was logic behind it and it made sense. Duh he's a football player. Thats his lane thats what he explained. Where is a problem? Only complainers who think someone should do and say what they want feel some type of way. Basically nobody worth worrying about. I only say this because he committed no fouls in this particular case. Cant please everybody and everybody aint the same.I thought Kap articulated his position very well but his position has nothing to do with Cam. You either get it or you dont.

One day after the Santa Clara police officers association sent a letter to the 49ers asking them to take action against Colin Kaepernick for his recent statements and behavior toward police, Santa Clara police chief Michael J. Sellers says in a statement that despite Kaepernick's "distasteful" actions, the Santa Clara police will "continue to provide a safe environment at Levi's Stadium." The statement goes on to say that "the safety of our community is our highest priority. I will urge the POA leadership to put the safety of our citizens first. I will work with both sides to find a solution."

The bolded is the verbiage that should have been initially sent to the 49ers. I am glad that the union did send the initial memo because it just exposes their hypocrisy and unwillingness to show empathy to Kap's message

Kaepernick made the 49ers squad

But

Give them a few weeks, injuries happen Kaepernick will be starting soon or if Gabbert stinks up the joint. Never mind he going to get more chances than Jeff Fisher.

It was a foregone conclusion that Kaepernick was going to be the backup. I just hope that Chip has the guts to make a change if Gabbert is trash.
