I try to get high quality lossless (ogg, flac, alac) files instead of MP3's but most are ripped from CD. I can only hope that they continue to release these types of formats after CD's are no more.

Ya CD's are on their last legs but they will last longer than Best Buy.

So take that into consideration when you're judging the selection of anything at Best Buy.

Menace, Hassan, Samson bombed the thread. Hassan you are a legend. I know you have had to done interviews with hip hop publications before. I remember reading about your station in rap pages and the source in the mid 90s. Murder dog had a Midwest issue (back when the magazine was letterbox shaped) and they covered that station you worked at. You probably know more about hip hop than all of us combined

Ox king nuked the thread. In 15-20 years that Mcintosh will be a brand new sports car sitting on your shelf. Very rare and upscale I still haven't seen one in real life. That denon mini disc player/controller is rare and expensive also. They used to go for $1399+ In 90s Is it an import? That laserdisc is what my eye is really on. Ever since I saw that pic of yours I been on ebay determined to win one. LD so slept on and underrated. How often do you use it and do you think it's better than DVD.

Actually the hip hop shows got to do the interviews, I did the dusties mix on Thursdays so I never got to interview anybody. And they did used to interview a lot of people, Kanye and Common freestyled in there one night, and a lot of underground hip hop acts used to come in there. And a lot of the hip hop dj's actually put out albums but they mostly were local

Much respect to the collectors on the IC, especially @king hassan & @tompetrez3. They know a lot. Those are the type dudes that can listen to a rap song and tell you within 10 seconds where it was sampled from. They don't need the internet. One

Actually I can do that. But it's from listening to a lot of songs. I was playing this one day

and another day I was playing this and was like, damn, that's where they got that beat from. Listen to it and you'll here the sample, it's a break. Shit will just jump out at you. I hate these internet sampling dudes, go dig for tha shit
