This tape is really good.

"Hurting you is the last thing I wanna do,

It's still on the list."

Songs with concepts and narratives? In 2013 Hip Hop?

Fat Joe DSIII and Cam'ron GHv1 might have mixtapes of the year.

Did niggas suddenly forget that S.D.E bricked and Cam had financial problems over at Undeas Entertainment. Dude wasn't selling records like that and Dame had to get him out that deal with Un.

Doesn't erase the fact he was an established artist and a millioaire already... Jay threw that line tryin to be slick like Cam was a lil nigga or something... Cam had dropped 2 albums had his diplomats movement going and was well respected in the game (biggie givin props) children of the corn etc.... Cam checked him for that.

Cam was not established before Roc A Fella.... he was not a household name, he had no hits in rotation and I don't think he'd ever even had a magazine cover before ROC (I was collecting em like jordans back then).... He also admitted that he was in turmoil with Sony over finances that Dame helped resolve.

Another thing, nobody outside of NYC knew who Diplomats were prior to 02' when Cam dropped his first ROC LP, I rocked wit these dudes to the fullest but lets be real....

"You know this" sounds like some late 90's nore Neptunes song shit Araab muzik did his thing on that beat.

this is false. I was not in NYC (or even on the east coast) at that time, and i was fully aware who cam'ron was. Confessions of Fire and S.D.E were already getting heavy play by me.

Dip werent established pre-Roc, but cam was. Horse & Carriage was a decent-sized hit. A lot of that had to do more w/ Mase' popularity being lent to Cam'ron, but people definitely knew Cam'ron and he was already somewhat established. Not where he was after Come Home With Me, but not someone people didn't know was around.

Jay already had 5 platinum albums, the highest grossing hip hop tour (at the time), a clothing line, liquor brand, a 5 mic album, and acclaimed perfomances (unplugged)......6 years before Cam even came to Rocafella. He had about 7 platinum albums and more success after Cam came to Rocafella. Cam only had two gold albums with two hits until he came to Rocafella but got his first platinum album on the Roc. None after he left. I like them both, but it's obvious that Jay and Rocafella would've been fine without Cam.....Cam needed him more than anything.

I see niggas rewriting history up in here and lol at anyone with half a brain thinking Maino, Joel Ortiz, Uncle Murdah, or True Life are stars. I don't understand how ya'll or these artist keep calling themselves hustlers and all this shit, but in the same breath talking about what another man didn't do for them to pop off.

This is why the south keeps shitting on NY, these niggas down here like Yo Gotti, Jeezy,Gucci, etc don't wait for bigger acts to pop them off. Them niggas ain't on that weak codependent shit!

The rap fan base in the south is far larger than the fan base up north u can do that way easier down there

everything you saying is irrelevant. no one will debate that cam was bigger than jay. cam def was helped by being on the roc. but cam was well known and doing fine before this, its not like beanie sigel who was NOTHING before being on the roc. so how can jay be lumping them together, in that line.

secondly, jay is acting like he didnt get helped by state property, and dipset. maybe not in terms of straight up record sales, but having them on the roc helped get jay's street swag back up, when ppl thought he was going to soft, and he riding around with jermaine dupri on horses and golf courses throwing money. once state property came thru jay was back putting on hoodies, talking about he "gotta kill witnesses cause free beards sticking out" and stealing young chris's whisper flow...and trying to hop on oh boy remix (which cam smartly put a stop to)
