i thought it was a message. cuz he had no problem offing people that tried to get over on him last season.

but then again, meyer can actually bring something to the table & nucky's arc this season is being the peaceful diplomat. he saw an opening with masseria/narcisse in the situation with chalky so to keep everything calm it's probly better he stayed alive.
