There is nothing strong about it. If you're tired of being treated a certain way, speak out against it. Since when was it impossible to check people without putting your hands on them. And you can't just run away to a black safe space whenever being around white people gets too rough for you. What happens when they graduate and go to the work force. Unless, they are all entrepreneurs or planning on working for black businesses they are going to have to deal with all this stuff eventually. Why not use the college experience as preparation for what's to come?
This safe space stuff is bullshit. I'm not just talking about these people. I'm talking about everyone who thinks that the proper way to respond to a "trigger" is to duck it. When did that become an acceptable way of dealing with shit. Like @zzombie said, if they just want to live around other blacks, that's cool. If they are doing this because they can't handle white people's bullshit, that's weak, and they are going to have problems when the graduate.
