big sean popularized it. big sean said kanye told him to teach him that scheme. kanye finally used it on the graduation album (GoodLife). drake took it from him, young money took it from him.

Any true fan of hip hop wouldn't even entertain people that say Big Sean started it..it's obvious he didn't. Thats like saying Tyga came out with snapbacks. Nah..he didn't but ya'll would be frontin if ya'll said he didn't make snapbacks hot again. It's just the fact that its' also obvious Lil Wayne and Young money hopped on the bandwagon after noticing what Big Sean was doing with it. Drake made it a trend mainstream wise because he had more buzz but drake himself admitted he got it from Big Sean so imma still give props to dude for making it through that mess. He was able to dump it and still get a album date. He had people calling it the "Supa Dupa" flo so its not like people didn't know who was using it the most around that time first.

If you saw my previous post..I said what you just said but in fewer words. Trends come and go..Big sean used a flo that has been used many times before..he just made it hot again. And yes, young money stole it because that flo was hot at the time and dude wasn't popular enough to do anything about it. Shit like that happens in the game all the time...I can show you tons of cases where it has happened.

How does Sean get credit for popularizing it, and Drake just "stole" or "spread" it. Sean wasn't even popular when that trend was getting beat into the ground. Hell, he still ain't! DRAKE popularized it. Drake was bitten by the rest of the industry. Drake made it hot, etc. And how can you claim Drake stole it from Sean when it wasn't Sean's to begin with.

Drake: Well, that flow has been killed by so many rappers. And, I never want to use that flow again in life. [Laughs] I wanted to take if off my album, because I was like, “I shut ‘em down. Onyx.” I hate the fact that that rhyme is still in there. To be honest, that flow, you can trace it back to like…I trace it back to Big Sean (artist on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music). That’s the first guy I heard utilize that flow throughout the duration of a verse. I’ll give him that credit. I think Kanye got it from him. Me and Wayne found a dope way to do it. I don’t want to sound cocky, but the best way its been used was on “Forever.” Those lines just all individually make so much sense. They’re all punchlines. Then a bunch of rappers started doing it and using the most terrible references in the world. I don’t want to offend somebody…I hate that rappers picked that flow up. I wish they had left that for people that know how to use it. [They go like] “It’s a parade! MACY’S!”
