he aint sell his soul tho, he sold a television channel. There's no guarentee that he knew what they did to it afterwards.

He sold a Black owned business to white people, you dont need a guarantee all you need is common sense to know what would happen.

Bob Johnson,Oprah,Jay Z are jus Black on the outside, but they white inside...Every Culture started & popularized by Blacks is always distorted & corrupted by the Whites who were let in by Coons/uncle toms like Jay,50. Fuck that List

i dont see what the big deal is, or the surprise. That list ,was designed for and catered to the majority of the demographics that consume that material.

1999 was in the 20TH century.
2000 started the 21ST century.

The hilarity of this program was how it was custom made to put "certain" rappers in the discussion (Your top 2).

Secondly, BET and those who were probably paid to "debate" this failed to speak on the most important issue at hand for this decade: it's lack of longevity!

Think about it...I'm sure everyone read this list probably went "I could think of 10 rappers who would put this list to shame..." Most of the ones I thought of had their debut albums in '98 or before. I know I did. And they're still around! From the Outkasts and Cee-los to the Commons and Twistas to the DMXs. Shoot, even Juvenile! And of course there are rappers that don't even have to be named; they're still popular now!

Think about that....those are grown ass men. 35+. And yet this list is full of people basically under 30 who honestly just got popular less than 5 years ago. 1 of them just got popular last night (you know who).

What's worse? This list...or the fact that it's harder to name more people using the 99+ range who are popular enough to be on this list?

I think that's the sad part...

The top three is right on point.

Drake definitely shouldn't be up there. No one (mainstream audience) didn't know who he was 18 months ago.

I'm surprised Kiss is there, since he hasn't been commercially successful as most of the others. I'm happy he got respect, but I'm not too sure.

Where's Ja and Nelly? They was running shit for a few albums.

The last four spots are questionable. But besides the two I named above, I don't feel like thinking of any other two to take those final spots.

I already knew the Top 5 was gonna come out that way......but Nelly and Fab COULD be a good argument over Kiss and Young Jeezy....Good to see Wayne and Em on top tho

As long as you have negros that put net worth before principles things will remain the same, luckily Cathy Hughes from TVONE is cut from a different cloth,
she said she wants full control of our images and media so we are represented in a more positive light.

Ja Rule and Nelly sold more records than Lil Wayne, Jezzy, Ross and Drake in this decade. The list was average at best.

cant stand ross or jeezy but they probably gotta be on that list somewhere. nelly should be on there too because the show wasnt just about whos better bar for bar. i like kiss but if we are going by the criteria they mentioned i say take jada off and put nelly in.

Jada deserves to be on the list more than Drake or Ross, but based on what they said, Nelly, Ja rule and yes Game do have a claim to the list.
