"Mobb Deep wonder why nigga blowed them out. Next time grown folks talk, nigga close your mouth"

Pac saw them as kids, like young niggas, they hadnt earned stripes to go at him, when u go to war with a nigga, makesure u studied his style

Anyways with the Nas beef dead, it was inventible Mobb Deep wud peace it up, that beef was pointless and served no purpose

Prodigy's verse on Drop a Gem on 'Em was uncut raw, and Havoc blacked out on that song production wise. Bar for bar, P could see Pac easy, at the time that is.

But yeah, the beef would have eventually subsided.

the good ol days

the best overall work of art that year was clearly Outkast ATLiens.

Nobody outside of the Tri-State area knew who the fuck Jay-Z was at that time and Reasonable Doubt is not a classic by the way

It was written, the score, ironman could have all been the best. Didnt Bone Thugs drop E.1999 Eternal that year too? UGK Ridin Dirty came out that year also. Nothing but classics that year.

Those where the days when a Soulja Boy or a Gucci Mane would never see the light of day

Co sign! I never understood what people saw in prodigy. Yeah he had some nice beats but lyrically he always been average at best to me. Most of his rhymes, don't rhyme. I guess you have to be from the east coast to understand him

Never said he was super lyrical
Never said he was on the level of Nas, Kool G, etc.
And i'm not overrating Prodigy...

...Prodigy's style was very intricate to me, i don't base everything on multis. And just because a rapper supposedly uses more multis than the next rapper, doesn't mean that they can beat them in a battle.

i never said u said he was on the level
of g rap nas etc
and i don't base everything on multi's either
prodigy also did'nt have internal rhyme no slant rhymes
no complex metaphors no great wordplay he had a wack flow
and his punchlines were ass also he wasn't a great songwriter.
all im saying is he wasn't a elite lyricist.
