It's one of the most important films ever made and Hollywood buried it because it was too real.Love this movie.it says so much about blacks in entertainment

I agree, how bout that "Fear of a Black Hat" though?

Guerrillas in the Mist! but yeah that Bamboozled is one of my favorite movies, Mantan and SleepNeat was genius

im truely thrilled to see this thread. i feel like theres still some hope out there for this crazy ass world...

thats a serious flick. like TSsaid though, too real for mass consumption.

I was goin to make a thread on this one day. I think every black person who wants to get in the entertainment industry should watch this movie. The racist footage in the end fucks me up.

Goat movie, it shows how these crackers exploit black culture

Correction: It shows how we wiilingly exploit and degrade ourselves to the highest bidder. Spike Lee was genius in creating this film. It's right up there with Malcolm X and Do the Right Thing

Sad how we willingly exploit and degrade ourselves for white skinned people, Spike is a genius.

Love this movie. Watched it over 20-30 times. I laugh at so much of the ignorance in the film, but the messages behind it... is powerful.

Always get a kick out of the Maus Maus too. Represent a lot of those so-called "real rap raw revolutionaries".

respect for the drop...was gonna go on a hunt for it but you solved my problem

fuck man, im watching it now, only 11minutes and 42 seconds in, i saw this shit once when i was so very very young and uninformed.....i didnt get it, i think i was used to seeing him in more overtly comedic rols as opposed to "political/racial satire"....now im watching it tho.....shit is deep....and thats only after 11minutes

Not much has changed since the release of that movie. Matter of fact, the footshufflin & buckdancin in black entertainment have reached a new low.

excellent movie that was purpsoefully slept on. it was too real for the masses. its kinda like the chris rock thing in a way. it you say or do something thats too real and points out white ppls flaws and hypocriscy that either point the finger of blame at you or try to ignore what you said. bamboozled was ignored by hollwood while white folks from coast to coast are taking shots at chris rock for telling the truth
