my mom was like that indian mother from bend it like beckham, "how do you expect to marry a nice boy and you can't cook a 7 course meal". i think it's a culture thing. i've been cooking since i was 8 or 9, like really cooking and making meals. to us it's nothing worse than having grown daughters and your house being dirty or their mother has to cook, people get talked about bad behind that shit. i don't think i ever saw my dad cook or clean once my entire childhood.

aside from all that, i really enjoy cooking, and martha stewart is one of my icons (she's the best to ever do it), my hubby got me her Baking Handbook the other day, her cinnamon roll recipe is to die for

This right here. I was just talking about this with a friend about how when I first cook for a man in my life it's a wrap. No plate will be served, he will need a platter. LOL.
Appetizers by the couch then take it to the kitchen for a few main dishes, at least 6 side dishes, a couple desserts and of course drinks.

about 2 months ago my girl and I went to the carryout (chinese spot to non DC people) and saw a kid in there who couldn't have been any older than 15 sitting in not 1, not 2, but 3 damn chairs he was so fucking big...I literally walked out disgusted and said out loud "You know damn well he don't need to be eating that shit"

I just don't understand how a parent could do this to their child.
The parents purchasing soda by the cans, shoving sweet and salty snacks down their kids throats and teaching them bad dieting habits are the ones to blame, not the children.
If they are raised in a home where chips were introduced at the age of 2, how do they know any better?

It's not my business but I am disgusted when I see toddlers with bags of chips in their hands. SMH

Oddly enough, I have seen mothers who are slim themselves but their child is overweight. Mind you she continues asking what BK meal the child wants.....smh.
