So this is about nice guys who chase after the girls who are chasing after bad guys.
What's funny is the the nice girl is just as 'invisible' more often then not.

If this thread was the other way around; girls saying that boys only wanted them after they were finished chasing after as many slores as possible.
Every guy here would advise the ladies to stop chasing after the wrong guys.

I've never in my life heard a guy say well you're just too nice or friends zone any female unless he just generally wasn't attracted to her. Women will lead guys on a lot. Most females in general good or bad aren't checking for that guy who doesn't fit the mold of what a hyper masculine male is. The media and the "in" crowd perpetuate a lot of these stereotypes as well.

You can be NICE but have a spine. And a lot of dudes equate "Nice" with BORING and PUSH-OVER. But thats not what being "NICE" is all about.

Now kai_valya said that "nice guys" aren't really that nice. And then she said that ostensibly nice guys are really wimps and doormats. And I simply was trying to point out that just because someone is a doormat or a wimp doesn't mean he's not nice. And that point remains unassailable.

Is it true that you can be nice and have a spine, as you say? Sure it is. But does that mean that if you don't have a spine then you're not nice? Of course not -- which is just the point I was making.

i think the problems with nice guys is that they aren't really all that nice. they are wimps and doormats. and no woman wants a man she can run. i want a good, principled, strong, upstanding man. a "nice" guy tho? what does that even mean? when i hear that phrase instantly what comes to mind is a guy that lets chicks walk all over him. women for the most part want the alpha-male and the nice guy usually doesn't fit that profile

That perception is a big part of the problem. I consider myself a "nice guy" and my wife and her family would tell you I am a good man. BUT they would also tell you that I ain't to be played with. Most people can't (or won't) tell the difference. Whenever I get in someone's a$$ the first thing they say is "I thought you were a nice guy". As if I can't be nice and at the same time stand up for me and mine when someone tries to f__k one of us over. You can be a "nice guy" and still hardcore when you need to be. But people won't allow you to be both in their mind. You're "nice" as long as you're letting them game you, but the minute you call them on it, you then become an a-hole. I guess you could say I'm a nice guy constantly suppressing my inner demon, until I need to let him out.
