People be dead serious about that pole splitting shit..like they had split a pole once and their life immediately ended up in shambles and they made a vowel to God to never do it again if they recover

I be like bra...what do you think is gonna happen

Splitting the pole..?!? That's not superstition, that's a fact. Either you go back and correct it or the journey is over. That's how I was raised.

not superstitious at all but I don't like talking about alive/death shit.. I know it doesn't dictate if you die or not but I've seen a lot of ppl make their last sayings w shit like that, my brother (best friend) died two weeks after saying "not even death can separate us" (referring to his son)

just bothers me so I'm careful w my words.. again I know it doesn't play a part, but it freaks me out to not be careful

I'm not superstitious but I do have a couple things of sentimental value that I feel weird not wearing or having with me. I've said before me and my mother ain't have the best relationship growing up but she had a stroke a few years back and is paralyzed on her left side and that was a few months after we'd finally gotten on good terms. 4 years ago she managed made me a Carolina Blue bracelet because the 1 thing we ever had in common was our love for the Tar Heels. I haven't taken it off by wrist but 3 times since and each time I felt weird until I put it back on.

Naw. I personally don't believe in none of that shit. But I DO believe that if YOU really believe in it, the mental part of it really can dictate how well your day goes.

Boom

My son opened an umbrella in the house not long back, I told him "CLOSE THAT FUCKING SHIT RIGHT NOW!!!" he asked me why and I told him it's bad luck, now he thinks it's bad luck and he will probably pass it on to his children, nothing else really I have walked under many ladders and gave no fucks.

I dont even think about that splitting poles shit...but coincidentally, i did have a bad experience when i was a kid...

...on one side of the pole was the sidewalk, on the otherside of the pole it was very very close to a chain link fence. I tried to walk between the pole and the chain link fence as my boys were walking on the other side of the pole....I walked right into the thickest spider web you'd ever seen, an entire family of spiders must have been weaving that shit for 100 years straight. If felt like I was clothes-lined across the face by a tennis net....needless to say, i felt like an ass for the rest of the day.
