LOOOL @ u niggas.

I love Kanye's shit but Kanye has always cared about what white ppl say especially since Graduation. Fuck is u niggas talkin about? Thats the crowd he wanna be in the Hollywood crowd.

Now that THEY shitted on him of course he wanna act all 2pac and Cube like. THEY (white media) shitted on HIM which made him go on his lil fake rants about how he doesnt give a fuck. But he still gives a fuck

If he cared about what whites think he wouldnt have got up on that stage and took that mic from that lil white girl in front of white America. Kanye speaks his mind around white ppl, most rappers today wont.

Music should offend sometimes to make people think and analyze things that they either ignored or were afraid to face. A lot of artists these days offend with everything, but the music. When Pac, Cube and PE were doing it, people discussed the music whether it was offensive or empowering. These days, it's antics outside of the music.

Let me ask you this, if you found a market for white rednecks jumping around on stage and acting like rednecks, and you knew white people would pay big money to see that shit now you had the white folks, and you had the act, and you had the funding, would you not cash in on that? you would be a fool not too, yea white people will probably be mad at you for making there people publically look like baffoons but at the same time there watching and paying money for the shit right? so would you then (and be totally honest) say to yourself, I cant do this to those precious white people and there white culture.

Uhhh?? Crazy white ppl jumping around on stage is not what I'd consider a culture. If you took a bunch of crazy rednecks who were being THEMSELVES and speaking FROM THE HEART to OTHER REDNECKS whom I'm assuming would be THEIR fanbase, then that is not misrepresentation of the culture at all. You'd be selling the product to the exact demographic that it was made for, its not like those rednecks on stage would care what a black person thinks of them. That'd be a show made by rednecks for rednecks which is completely opposite from the point of this thread.

my point is this that is what white people think about hiphop, they belive they are selling their product to the demographic it was made for and for the most part they are right Niki Manaj's album sales prove that, who is to say rappers like Gucci and Wayne dont speak from the heart to other niggas just like them? and its not like Guccie or Waka care what white people think of them when they are on stage. there music is selling to the people it was ment for, and i bet you any amount of money if you ask a white person behind close doors "do you think signing niggas like Waka and Guccie are runinning hiphop culture"? guess what they will tell you "crazy niggas jumping around on stage is not what i would consider a culture". do you see the point im trying to make?

Take the above pic for example. Taylor Swift can take a pic with a fan wearing a Nazi symbol on his shirt and not worry about any real backlash from it. I want rappers to be the same way. Take back ownership of this genre of music called hip-hop. So what if white ppl get offended, this music was never intended for them to begin with.

Kanye was the only nigga to tell Bush straight at that time. That's the reason Bush caught feelings. Noone else did that. He jus don't give a shit.

Ur confusing hate with not giving a fuck. I'm not saying Ye hates white ppl, I just believe he's one of the few artists who doesn't let the buying power of the white audience dictate his music. Have you not seen the thread that was posted advising that Kanyes new album would fail because he doesn't have any top ten BILLBOARD singles? Ye didn't pander to the white audience with his new album even though I'm sure a lot of them still enjoyed it. That's what I call taking back the culture. We don't have to alienate whites from hip-hop, but the music should not be Taylor made just so they can buy it. Keep the black experience in the music, white curiosity with African American culture will keep them coming back to buy even if you don't have an Eminem feat on ur album.

So because Kanye went on a drunken tirade and displayed an obviously scripted George Bush rant, he doesn't care about what white people think? Kanye is now the new master of deception. Nigga really has people fooled. It quite disturbing...

My point is who cares what Whites think when it comes to hip-hop as a culture. That's the problem, a lot white ppl feel that since they buy hip-hop albums(or hide behind the perception that they buy albums) that they can determine what real hip-hop is. Blacks also buy albums, but blacks been supporting hip-hop since its inception because it speaks to US. You'd be lying if you said hip-hop wasn't made for BLACK PPL BY BLACK PPL. I'm just getting sick of this false entitlement that some whites feel they have in dissecting hip-hop. This is not a white culture no matter how much they try to pretend it is.

Thats some backwards non progressive thinking, yes it true it was made by black people for black people, but bottom line we are all people if i make this great thing but I only make it for a specific group of people and then someone outside my circle says i like the thing you created I love it so much that i willing to support it and pass it to my people, and my people love it and through trial and error we find out how to improve upon this thing I created, now the only time I would find it offensive is if the people outside my circle try and take credit for its creation which white people are careful never to do, but why ignore imput? thats how we stop progression, we ignore them and turn them away simply because there skin and culture is different from ours? isnt that what we as a people faught to get white people to stop doing to us? why then regress back to they're backwards way of thinking, if they have ideas about what to do with hiphop, and if there opinions are valid then why not here them out. the music is put out publically for a reason, do you think public enemy didnt want white people to hear there message? they wanted white people to hear it, they wanted white people to critize , they wanted white imput, the messege is for everyone to hear.

Bow down. This is OUR music not yours.

Do you feel feel Hip Hop is for middle & upper class blacks who are from affluent Suburbs and have prestigious careers? the privildged blacks who live in wealthy homes

Do you feel Hip Hop is not for poor blue collar working class whites, latinos, asians, arabs who are from poor inner city neighbourhoods & housing projects/trailors/section 8 housing living on minimum wage/welfare but live in predominantly black populated poor cities?
