Had a serious problem with my brother in-law about 5 years ago. I considered everything and went toe-to toe in front of my sister with him and my real brother but couldn't bring myself to throw a blow on him.

So we just circled each other in the street like some high school shit with neighbors coming out at 1am in the morning; with my sister trying to hold me back.

Family situations like that last for a long time and unless you have the go-head from your sister to do that to her husband (which I didn't) or unless you can get him alone one-on-one and address him I would say wait it out.

Yours wasn't really like my situation since he said slick shit to you and mine was on some "he did what to my sister (even though my sister did hit him first I didn't give a fuck)

The older you get, the more you learn you just can't be around everyone; EVEN if it's family.

Sometimes those are the very ones that can have you in prison.

On the other hand, do what you feel.

I definitely didn't do what I felt and in a way it's good to see her with two kids now and a husband still with her for a total of 7 years. He also does a lot for everyone in the family now, and I'm always thinking how crazy shit was.

He never put her hands on her again after we faced off, but if we went through it would've been most likely the family minus a member since he carried a gun too.

Till this day, we both can be alone, but we still have that limit of talk that we both know we can't engage in....and we didn't even go blows.

Reason why they hate me is before i got with my girl, i was fucking this one chick. Yo that bitch loved me to death and i use to treat her like shit. Turns out my girls older brother and uncle both liked that chick and she would give them no play while i would nut in her eye and send her away crying to call them and vent.
