Freddie And Madlib. Cole album was good, but Pinata was 1 of the most complete albums I've heard last year. The production and lyricism were top notch on damn near every track.

This was a hard decision because both albums are nice.

Pinata > Forest Hills for me in terms of production (very cohesive / movie track sounding)

Forest Hills > Pinata for me in terms of rhymes (just prefer J. Cole's voice to Gibbs)

Forest Hills = Pinata for me in terms of content (both lyricists playing to their strengths)

By a close margin, Forest Hills wins... again a personal choice for what album moved me more.

However, I actually prefer Prhyme and Run the Jewels 2 over both these finalists... so I don't know man.

AFTER 70 VOTES DELIVERED BY 70 REPRESENTANTS OF THE IC GALAXY

It's a wrap.J Cole came up latethis year, delivered a solid and 'of the moment' album that brought him to the finals. But it apparently wasn't enough. As matter of fact, Fred Gibbs and Madlib combo has been in the community 's ear consistenly and never faded away.

COCAINE PINATA IS YOUR CHOICE!!!

The underground has won the battle back to back.

What about a 3peat? Only time will tell...

Thanks to everyone for their participation!!!

Happy new year.
