I like them all for different reasons. The first is more suspense and thriller and the second is more action. The first and second are must watch though.
Alien Resurrection is good superficially for a fast pace and action and for the hilarious weirdness (alien orgy, the queen's labor scene, the newborn in general) but it is not an objectively good movie. Way more entertaining than Alien 3 though which was just a studio hacked mess.
You guys should check out the graphic novels from the Prometheus series they actually salvage the mess and make it more coherent and the latest ones talk about the space from Prometheus and Covenant. In the spoiler I posted a little bit but nothing that ruins the movie. Still don't click if you want to be surprised.
The black goo or Chemical A0 (I can't remember the full numerical name) infects the whole planet and so what it does is it mutates whatever it comes into contact with making it excessively rabid (that's why there's no birds, animals, etc). On this new planet they come to find out everything is a threat and attacks them aggressively. In the books, it's a crew, a yuatja and they also come into contact with an engineer. The crew thinks one of the engineers made it for the sole purpose of wiping out planets, while the other half thinks they attacked the humans to protect them from taking it home not knowing what it truly is. I won't say much but it's a great read and will keep you hungry for when the movie comes out. The book chronicles the events BEFORE the crew that arrive in the movie get there.
That's fucking sick. They won't use a predator to push the storyline, but that would be awesome and I really want to know the true answer is this is a biological warfare or was it suppose to be use with different intentions.
