It's not even that a black actress can't get a good role, movie studios know that majority of the public (white people) would be less inclined to pay to see a movie with a dark skin actress as the lead.

You say I blame the media and that it's not a conspiracy. It's not it's realality. The media is the very reason people don't find dark skin women appealing because it does not fit the standard of beauty the media sets for society. Weather you believe it or not that shit is real. The biggest problem I have with Zoe is that she's obviously a whitewashed black latina. Nina Simone was truly proud of her heritage and her blackness and displayed it unabashedly. I highly doubt the sinerity of zoe saldana to be able to portray this. It should be noted the the Nina Simone estate did not approve of this biopic.
