Classic album, his best joint. "Good kid" my favorite track off this, so was "real" for a while, really liked the message and song structure of it, along as the message. His mom n dad coming in n talking is GOAT, that shit his mom's starts saying about him coming back home always make me feel like I should b doing more

Classic Album! Felt like you was watching a movie about a teenager in Compton, without actually seeing it (Theater of the Mind). Every song was solid. And he sort of did the same thing on TPAB with the poem/2Pac conversation. In my opinion, he's 3 for 4 when it comes to making classic albums. And Section 80 was close to being one too.

Stopped listening to 4:44 the day after

I listened to it for a couple of weeks, but I don't go back to it a lot. But it's still one of the best of 2017.

The only classic album Jay-Z made to me was The Blueprint.

This album was a classic, a narrative, with other narratives intertwined. And it provided a true perspective of a young black man in compton, a young black man in the hood going through what he go through. I used to carry a tec, no bullshittin because I always feared them 2 black hoodies, I always knew bitches was shiesty and to prepare for it. The first 2 verses on sing for me havent been topped since as far as painting a picture of adolescent mindsets when society fails them. I'm about to put it in repeat, me and my daughter bout to let this shit rock lol. I'm sick of sesame street anyway.

I couldn't get into that Control System joint, that dudes whole rap style just don't appeal to me.

I used to say he is better than Kendrick then he released these days and that other trash then I realised it was a one off

Sing about me is one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time imo.

Kdot has always been a tad bit overrated to me but he has really good bodies of work and some songs in his catalog are so good that you have to give him a goat nod even though you feel like you shouldn't.

Every album he has at least two songs where I said " this dude is upper echelon"

Money Trees... ahh man

If Kendrick drops another album as dope as his first three studio ones then he's a legend in my book. IDGAF how long he been in the game...

Sing about me is a breathtaking song. Can't stress that enough

The fact that he found a way to merge that with another classic joint "dying of thirst" was genius.

"Dying of thirst" is a beautiful rap song. That beat is haunting and the structure was simple but brilliant. Song sounds like it has no hook and he just spitting, but it flows so well. This album has so many great songs is hard to pick a favorite, shit I picked 3 different ones since the thread started. Shootout to "swimming pools" took me like 3 listens to notice it was an anti-drinking song, very smart approach. K.dot def put the medicine in the candy w that one
