If an uncompromising album like untitled went gold then Life is Good shouldn't have a problem....and also what is the definition of flopping these days?

i wonder where he goes after this. he needs to just go indy or he's gonna have to sellout to an extent for something that garners some form of radio play. Maybe link up with a crew. He can't even headline a small tour with those number. dam shame. Hopefully def jam gives him one more shot but I never even heard a 2nd or 3rd single

Well let's put things into perspective a little bit.
"Untittled" dropped in 2008 the same year that "The Carter" sold 1 million first week & the same year that T.I. went Gold first week...2008 was Obamas election year and here we are 4 years later in 2012 and it's election time again...but ain't nobody selling like 2008.
"Untittled" had extra hype and promotion surrounding it die the inflammatory nature of the title and subject matter so many people copped it just to hear what the controversy was...Life is Good doesn't have that hype/promo.
I could never call a #1 record or a record that does 100K and better a flop in this era unless it was an album from Platinum stars like JayZ, Kanye, Wayne, Drake, or Emenim.

country fans don't bootleg like rap fans do. they have more respect for the artist
hell every genre outside of rap have respect for the artist. i just think rap fans dont think the music is that good anymore
the singles are good but the albums are trash ... they should name thier albums filler central
freehuey89;4628658 said:Whos buying tyga albums?
hypnotised radio listeners ... however if anyone dropped a decent album it might be tyga ... he had some pretty good singles and i heard some pretty decent album cuts like the joint he got with nas ..............
Tyga's album really ain't bad, it has a few skippable songs but i actually like it.

Drake doing one song with Em makes him sell?
Jay doing a song with him a decade ago made him go plat in 2011?
Excuses.
