I believe in tipping according to service. It's a good look with a the staff, and if you're on a date it's a good look with the woman, "she's thinking damn he's not a broke, tight fisted cheapskate" that always works in your favor.

Serving staff has shitty jobs, but they really need to take that base pay rate up wit congress because that shit is illegal as fuck. They are paid that rate because the Restauranters Assoc. Lobbied Congress.
