Immortal Technique is dope.... Tech N9ne is ok the only song I really heard and like was the song he did with Crooked I and Chino XL Sickology 101.

i can get the whole boring thing Immortal thing

i dont listen to him all the time, but Joe budden is great and so Nas but they have enough boring tracks too

im just saying he's got skills, but skills in hip hop and the ability to make intresting music are two different things

only a few can do it.

You see, I disagree. I don't think I heard one Nas or Joe Budden song that I was bored with. They know how to make a meaningful song and compartementalize it (sp?) so it still sounds like a song.

Immortal Tecnique just spatts all of them on a song and to me that takes away from his skills.

He has instances (alot of instances) where he just spatts and completely loses the beat and goes off flow. That shit is not good

Are they talented? Yes. Are they marketable? Hell no. They are like nerds in rap today. Much respect to them because they're skilled, but they are corny as well. It's like how we all know Will Smith technically CAN spit, but still we don't fuck with his music because he's lame as hell as a rapper now.

As for the Immortal/Nas/Budden comment, Joe Budden knows how to take you with him through his lyrics, so it's not boring, more like a a movie or episode of Maury/Springer/Celebrity Rehab, lol.

Immortal is nice technically, but he is boring and then he's White with not a whole lot to talk about (Yeah, keepin' it real)

Nas, man this guy is sooooooo overated IMO. His BEST tracks are ones featured with exciting artists or producers (ie: Quick To Back Down, Made U Look, If I Ruled The World, Won't See Me Tonight, Nas Is Like, Hate Me Now) basically his radio friendly stuff is his best shit to me (What? Am I Crazy?) yes I probably am, but his more "deeper" tracks are more like lullabies to me, I cannot listen to a whole Nas album without skipping. He's definitely good, but only when he's trying new different shit. I actually consider "I AM" his best album only because it grabs you from a commercial stand point. Do I like "Commercial Rap" not in a sense that I'll listen to Gucci, Waka Flocka, Soulja Boy etc. But an artist LIKE Nas making the type of music he'd like to hear on the radio, because obviously a commercial Nas song is a lot more non commercial than a commercial Waka Flocka song.

Nas sounds better commercially than not and y'all know it.

whats boring comes back to opinion, so im not gonna try and dive to deep into that

but tech n9ne seems to balance meaning with fun really well

I just dont see what N9ne is doing that so wrong , the only gripe i have with him is that some of the beats are a tiny bit over produced

and im hoping you guys are all way too mature to start calling him a devil worshipper or an 'evil whack clown'

The guy makes loads and loads of dope tracks

thing is a lot of really good rappers, Joe,Crooked,J.cole, Jay electronica arent marketable,

without causing too much offense , rappers that have respect on forums are genrally considered the Hip hop for the nerds as they have kind of music you analyze (and over analyze)

whats marketable is Gucci and Wayne are they lame?

Hell yes.

It's not even that tho. He's Sooooo talented, but I can tell that he's type of dude that if he's not rapping and chilling at the crib, he's the guy still trying to play tag with 30+ year old men and have super soaker fights, it's like I can feel the "lameness" emanating of his image.

ohh that evil swear word i cant stand popped up again 'Image'

image is what you can see

Music is what you hear

Jay-z LOOKS like a melted choclate camel

and the only reason he is making beyonce sweat is his freemason status

but I still listen to the blueprints.

Joe Budden is more introspective like he is sitting down telling you a story about something that happened to him

Nas is more like a historian when hes telling you things that are going on. But to me they both take you there vividly as if your seeing it with your eyes.

I feel like Immortal Tecnique is preaching to me, and no one wants to feel preached too.

Immortal aint white, and even if he was what the fuck has that got to do with anything?

he has plenty to talk about and if your intrested in what he has to say then he is entertaining its based on what you like

if you piss tired of hearing conspirisy theories than your gonna hate Immortals subject matter

but then if you hate mindless NY promotion your probably not gonna fuck with Joell ortiz either

nothing to do with skills but this is hy its good there is variation in subject matter

Eminem isnt cocky..

nor is lupe for that matter..

hip hop varies, you can make a track however you like.
