Pac dropped his album in a era where HIP HOP especially Gangsta Rap music was not doing big numbers..
Rappers like Pac set the bar in the mid 90's when it came to selling records...he made it cool for niggas like Jay to do big numbers....before Pac you'd have to where Hammer Pants or be a white guy called Vanilla Ice to sell 5 million in 3 months,
Jay dropped in a time when rappers were going 6 times plat.....he had BIGGY feature on two songs, video, who arguably was one of the biggest rappers on the planet, yet only did gold?
Amerikkkas Most wanted, Predator, Death Certificate, Lethal Injection all went atleast platinum, The Chronic went 3 times platinum, Doggystyle went 4 times platinum, etc so i don't know what you're talking about.
Pac did not set the bar, his biggest selling album pre AEOM was double platinum, Biggie, Dre, Snoop,Warren G,etc were selling more records than him. Pac didn't really start doing big numbers until all the controversy and signing to Death Row, he drummed up alot of controversy to boost his career, he didn't strictly blow up off talent alone.
Biggie only featured on one song (BK Finest) on RD and that song wasn't even released as a single, the biggest single on RD was Dead Presidents (that went gold).
Just deal with the facts dude, you can try to demminish his accomplishments all you want, Pac aint gonna come back and it's not gonna make people like dude less. If you're gonna apply your faulty ass logic, do it for all of the rap game since 1996 not just Jay.
