And why, @S2J...Tell me more...

I've noticed this in passing. You're so focused on your own struggle-raps career that u have no sense regarding anything else. You defend rappers as if you really are one.

You're a fuck boy. @A1000miles

geez I never knew having sex with women, getting paid so you could provide for yourself and family, and enjoying your music in your car was sooo morally wrong

im not saying concern yourself...

but dont sit there and lie like the shit dont mean what it mean.

And what does it mean, cuh?...What was Yelawolf tryna say by wearin that shit..."Death to all niggers, I support my slave ownin ancestors"?...Was that what he was actually tryna do?...I'm sure this would come as a shock to his nigger friends, his nigger wife, and his nigger boss and nigger producer...You should hop on ymail and notify them that Yeller is a racist cracker immediately...Do it before it's too late, he might try to trade em in the square...

Actually when a white person wears that flag it typically means either one or both of those statements whether they know it or not. A flag by itself is just a piece of cloth but obviously the significance of them is the shared acceptance of what they represent. In this case the confederate flag was the flag of a group of traitors who went to war with the united states over their perceived right to be able to own other human beings. If there's a good reason for someone to be wearing that in 2014 I'd like to hear it.

They also use Lynyrd Skynyrd (who were racist) as an excuse to wear that shit.

Speaking of Big Boi, he must be a coon too.

A) that video was made long before yesterday so what's your point?

B) making a video with a guy isn't the same as doing everything in your power to defend their wearing of a flag that symbolizes slavery to black people and at least marginally civilized whites.

You guys are really going all out to defend this yelawolf character huh?

The Southern heritage includes slavery and Jim Crowe heritage. Everyone who reps it knows the history they're invoking and are choosing to flaunt it, either in chosen ignorance or to purposefully spite the ones who'd be sensitive to it. Either way, I don't see how posters are defending something so offensive. I'm not not going play devil's advocate...disagreeing just to disagree like some posters on here.

It's also obvious Yelawolf knew what he was doing. People (Lord Jamar and others) were publicly calling him a racist, wearing the confederate flag on instagram is basically him inviting those perceptions of him to persist.

Im not defending anything, for the 2nd time I already said at the beginning of this thread they(Wolf and Kanye) lost for wearing that shit but Im not buying the "hes racist", "it represents the KKK" talk when the dude makes music with some of the people that we admire most in the industry.

It was more than just a video, before that video even came out Big Boi has IG pics with him and Yelawolf chillin in the studio. U dont do that with people you think have a problem with your ethnicity. Im gonna go out on a limb and say that Big Boi wasnt using Yelawolf to sell albums or gain fans cause hes white.

Sir...If that's referring to me...Thats not what I'm doing at all in regards to this matter...I litrally...Do not give a single fuck about that flag or whoever wears it...I grew up in SC and I know full well the history behind it...I just refuse to allow it any of my emotions...If someone disrespects or demeans me I handle it accordingly, Black, white, whatever...However, I know how to discern disrespect from other intentions...And I also know I have bigger things to worry about in my every day life than what someone is wearing and why...

@A1000MILES Well, it's a couple of posters so I didn't want to just point out one person. I actually do feel like you are one of the posters though. You're a intelligent man, I've seen your post on this subject and other threads as well. You actually back up your statements with facts and good points so that's why I didn't resort to calling you a coon, troll, or whatever. I basically agree with you in that it doesn't really offend me enough to get all mad and pissed but where I disagree with you is the "it's just a flag" part. I honestly can't think of any reason to defend stuff like that but whatever.

Thank you...And yes, I totally understand why many people are still offended and still only see the history...All I be sayin in all these threads is that from my perspective, we should stop givin a fuck about this typa shit...
