Outkast was influenced by Wu tang..like it or not..Otherwise why would you do a song with somebody who doesn't influence you?Twice at that!

You pro south ..eye see that..but the New York Gods will NEVER be faded..No matter how much you southern niggas try to sweep the facts under the rug...What Wu symbolically represents can never be negated because its rooted in mysticism and science

DF cant spit like Wu ...Even their slang is more artistic and abstract.. Name a DF song more profound than "B.I.B.L.E" by killah priest...ill wait

fuck ur words bro. didnt raekwon use to be down in atl a lot? is it impossible big or dre saw dude and said "ay man lets work"? i think thats a lot more possible than them sayin "oh shit its raekwon, gotta get him on a track, we wouldnt exist w/o him or his group!"

this aint about north or south, its u bitch ass lames that make it about that with me. this is about better music, and imo DF has that. no df cant spit like wu, they spit better. all that other bullshit about what they represent and the mystics n shit u talkin is a cool ass story but irrelevant and when it comes to how the music sounds i dont give a fuck. i'll rather hear the dope ass bars supplied by kast, mob, or goodie than the wu's lame ass slang, son son. get yo smart, dumb ass the fuck on and read a book.

man just lock this thread, DF lost the poll and these niggas gon say silly shit all night.

I can't say that every rapper with an alias is biting Wu, but are we really going to act like they didn't start that trend?

Is the theme on the DF side of this discussion to look at everything that the Wu did and then deny they actually did it?

DF would kick that Metaphysical shit at times too, Big Rube drop gems EVERY time he do sum spoken word

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jPdiUEe4f4

Im not gon say the 5%ers ideology aint impact them but I think Dr.York was more influential to them spiritually than Clarence 13x

Yeah..

Each and every element that exists in this

universe is manifested from a thought first

Through the inner mind's eye of the unseen power in the sky

Gave birth to Mother Earth and all it's worth to you and I

This most loved invention, my conciousness is an extension

of Him, yet I'm flesh and bone with a mind of my own

To dig deeper than the surface, whether I learn

from your upcomings or your downfalls we all have individual purpose

It's amazing, how the streets do the majority of raising

of children who end up dead before hearing what you said

And it's sad, so all I can write about is what I had

Interpretations of life good and bad with a pen and pad

It seems like abortion, when I just write a small portion

It's either crumpled up or torn without lettin the thought be born

Young minded, and blinded in those days; I didn't want to

have a thought that I couldn't raise, nurture, and care for

Be there for, help prepare for, the times ahead

When someone doesn't agree with what is said, huh

And if they did, don't get all arrogant cause that's my kid

Just be thankful that it's good and somebody overstood

Now, the listener in here want the same flow but I gotta let it grow

Clever enough to let it go, if I don't wanna rap no mo'

And I'll make sure that no one ever forgets

It's immortalized forever, on wax CD's and casettes

And when someone goes to the store and purchases it for ten

The life cycle starts all over again

And I was granted this music as my soulmate, to procreate

and give back what I was given, a life worth livin

And I, am Still Standing, unscathed

Pain is for suckers to feel

MC's are running out of things to say, and

radio stations running out of songs to play, shit!

We Still Standing, unscathed

And pain is for suckers to feel, huh

And MC's running out of things to say...

Do you not know who Kool Keith is? Ultramagnetic MC's? who Outkast has admittedly said have been influenced by? Lmao

Yes, I know who Kool Keith is. Do you not know what starting a trend means? It doesn't mean you're the first to do it. It means you're the one to popularize it. Kool Keith didn't popularize shit because he wasn't popular. Raekwon wasn't the first mafioso rapper, but OB4CL definitely started that trend, or are you going to deny that obvious truth too?

@Peezy_Jenkins that whole bar was a jewel that you or niggas of your ilk would never catch. Like I said you are a destroy power and you can't be reasoned with.

Lmao. Trap rapper can come up with that?

Show and prove swine.

lol the truth is Outkast has admitted that the Ultramagnetic MC's/Kool Keith influenced them, not Wu Tang, meaning 9 times out of ten they got their alter ego/crazy dressing ideas from him and not a group that came out 5 months before they did.

This maybe for @EyeofAsaru more than you since he said Outkast bit the Wu lol silly nigga.

Dog, nowhere did I say that Wu-tang influence Dre with that crazy shit that he was doing. Of course he didn't get that from them. I responded to the downplaying of the Wu's influence in regards to the whole alias thing.

And even if that's where I was going with it, Dre didn't even start with that shit until ATLiens, so the fact that Outkast only dropped 6 months after the Wu is irrelevant since the Wu came into the game doing that and Outkast did not.

this nigga in here really excited as fuck over a line about being surrounded by bad but wanting good like it was never said b4 aint aint been said since. "OOOOHHH B, THATS THAT SCIENCE NIGGA! TEACHER AINT SAY THAT, WU DID"

what rapper dont say something like that in one way or another.

Nigga you speculating on how raekwon hooked up with outkast like you were there booking the studio session..Really? Stfu..

You a crusty third eye having bama..The dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum...You one of them niggas that will listen to anything as long as it sounds good..

Lame and irrelevant to who?

"Aint no thang but a chicken wang" is amazing slang to you tho?

Man if eye saw you in person eye would smack the dusty straw hat off your head you fucking country road dirt rock

Stupid ass southern nigga thinking everything is rooted in "trap culture"..No you dumb muthafucka, the lines to that song applied to something waaaay deeper than the "trap" ...And ain't no trap rapper delivering those bars in the context Killah priest was rapping about...

Name one southern rapper breaking down the contexts of the bible and how the white Jesus in it is fake..

This nigga brought up kool Keith..

Dr octagon nigga? The spacey off beat rhyming blue flowers ninja that rocked a Elvis hairstyle? Lmao..He or ultramagnetic wasnt influential like Wu nor were their slang or philosophy deep as Wu tang's...They wasnt even that popular to popularize the alias gimmick

And even if they were influenced by ultramagnetic..guess what? Kast was STILL influenced by new York artists...

outkasts eccentric style was influenced by George Clinton and the funkadelics/jimi hendrix
