Silly thread. You even hint to why it's silly in your post, TC. Every hugely successful rap group has a lot of white fans. People always show footage of Wu concerts filled to the brim with white people and believe it's just the Wu that's like that. They forget two things 1) the Wu was one of the first groups to really do concerts at primarily white functions. Remember they were touring with Rage Against the Machine and doing shows at X-Game festivals back in the day. It shouldn't be such a surprise the crowds were mostly white and 2) whites are quicker to spend money to go to concerts and shows. If you dig out film of the Wu shows that happened back in the day at smaller venues and little hood clubs, you'll see big black crowds. If you're only looking at footage for shows that were like $50 a ticket, you better believe you're going to see more white faces. This same thing happens for all popular artists. You think if you go to a Jeezy show in Boise, Idaho, the crowd's going to be 90% black?
some people would think that when a certain someone that has an image, content and message or stigma
they would automatically appeal to individuals who are of the same image and stigma...
like... Mac Miller... all his fans would look like him, do the same shit he raps about and dress the same as him...

I don't know why anyone would think that. Black music has always been popular with white people. Ray Charles always a black following, but the huge white following he attracted is what made him a legend.

Not sure about regular suburban white boys but all the skaters I know fuck with Wu heavy....even when I was a freshmen in High school like around '02 the skaters was fuckin wit Wu.

listen everything you've stated in your first post, i completely understand that. i'm not saying that white people should NOT be influence or fuck with Wu-Tang Clan or any black music for that matter. We all know that white people are the ones who'd buy the tickets, who make up the fan bases, and support the artist more than black fans...
Hell, when Odd Future came to my city, i wanted to go to their show, but there's no way i would pay 70-80 dollars for a ticket.

i mean, when they were performing at more white based concerts, some of those kids didn't even know what

The bolded is on point. I'm in college and I know a couple white skaters and that's all they listen to. They worship wu tang for some reason.

Money could involved.... Rock The Bells is $100 a ticket.....I copped a pair of Slaughterhouse Tickets in Time Square for $60

White people appreciate music overall than black people, and Rza is known for sampling from all genres of music.
Black people are only 12% of the U.S population and we have less disposable income to spend on concerts.
Wu Tang Clan is a group with 9 different rappers so it's only natural that they draw large crowds and those crowds are going to have large numbers of whites just based on demographics.
G-Unit draws the highest percentage of white fans as a group.
