Yes, in most cases. Most females don't appreciate classics, or knowledge being dropped on them every time they hop in the car. Too much lyricism can overwhelm a female into asking you to play what's on the radio.

I understand what you're saying, but as a driver myself, i'd like to listen to something generally favorable to those riding in my my car. Sometimes I want some ignorant, trap sounding shit that knocks, and would have my passengers enjoying the trip

I'm not the type to ride around to classics all fucking day. I love em', but I can also play what's hot in today's hip hop.

Negative. Certain songs sound better while being played in the car.

I.e if you have subwoofers Teflon Don sounds better than a Nas's Untitled, with head phones it is vice versa IMO headphones make for a more internalized and personal experience to me. I never really heard of the term "headphone music" until this thread but I think it is an unsaid rule of thumb and is more of a subconscious decision.
