Wow T-Pain. Harsh Comments on Aaliyah's legacy

Now, I'm not the biggest Aaliyah fan and hate mufuckas that hold her to a higher pedastal than she should be. But T Pain can eat a dick for that statement, for the simple fact that he's T Pain. Of course people are gonna hold her to a high standard, cuz she died suddenly, young and wasn't even close to her prime yet. Even with all that being said she still had a career that could be compared to artists that were around for a decade or more. Mind you she worked with Timbaland and Missy, who still had their best work ahead of them. You could even say they fell off a bit cuz they still struggle with the loss of Aaliyah. To put it in perspective, imagine if JT died before he cut his first album, or Ashanti died right after her first joint. We saw how their careers turned out, but I see them and Aaliyah as the same artists. Marginally talented when they first came out, but had their niche and grew into their own. Aaliyah's career can only be judged by the work she's done, but she was known for being an ever evolving artist and I think she would have been somewhat relevant today, if not more or the same.

aaliyah cant sing, dance or entertain, really?????

Really niggas????

yall talking about Aaliyah , or Aliyana, some mexican bitch?

?????????

Aaliyah can't sing...... lol.

Ya need to stick to rap, and ratchet hoes. n leave the r&b for the niggas who be bumping that shit with their women...

Yea dying bolstered Aaliyah's career. The thing is Aaliyah had major success before she died. much like Tupac n Biggie...

Theres a reason why big pun and big L ain't as revered as pac n big. Its beCause they weren't on pac n bigs level.

Aaliyah is still revered, because she has material to still be revered about. She was Beyonce before Beyonce, and at a way earlier age.

I thought he was trying to make his point relating the so-called death of auto tune ......... but it shifted quick because of Aaliyah death ........ He didn't see the connection until the crowd called him out .... by then he had his whole foot in his mouth ....... another death for auto tune ............ auto tune done died so many times ....... shit keeps coming back like Jason Voorhees

All this shit is retarted ...I'm not even about to watch this crusty niggas video ...but the fact of the matter is regardless of what a nigga thinks about a particular artist ...she got love from the people ...period ....the people fucked with her heavy and that's why her legacy lives on ... maybe if these other artist had that kind of connection with their fan bases they wouldn't flop the fuck outta relevancy like this goof of a nigga t-lame ....this clown was known for weakening a court jesters hat ..who the fuck wants to rembered that in 20 years lmao

Yeah I agree cousin T-Pain is very retarted!! So very retarted.

I think if Aaliyah was alive people wasn't gonna say "oh she tryna be like Beyonce" that's stupid, Aaliyah was a mainstream solo female before Beyonce came out of thought about being away from Destiny child. If anything Bey probably wouldn't have got as big as she got if it wasn't for Aaliyah passing away. Same as her Husband elevating through the stratosphere by yeah...his music cool but a lot have to do wit Big and Pac not being here to control the market sales wise. Aaliyah was starting to separate herself sound wise from alotta these chicks because of Timbo being real innovative so she was kinda tryna blaze a trail when she died. I was around during the time period so niggas can't tell me nothing. If Mya woulda died instead I gurantee you she wouldna got treated like Aaliyah`s legacy gets treated now because she wasn't blazing the same kinda trail. It's easy now to say Aaliyah was overrated but back then she was actually underrated but finna finally get her props based off her music being at the being of its peak but then the crash happened.

So yall just gon talk shit about my girl Aaliyah huh

Yall lucky DMX aint figure out how to get on the internet yet

Damn all these criticisms of A aliyah about how she wasn't that great of a singer, dancer etc....it's funny....I never heard any of this shit while s he was alive....

T-Pain career ended with this moment right here...how you gon be somebodys hypeman when he tryin to shut down your whole movement lol

Ciara is an Aliyah upgrade as far as talent, Aliyah could not entertain, she can't dance as was limited singing. Has anyone heard her sing live....I haven't.

Nigga Google or YouTube it, THEN speak on it. Ciara is a great dancer. Nothing more.

She would be ciara if she was alive

How much mainstream acclaim does Ciara have? I must've missed her multiple big box office releases and Oscar performance. Who Ciara linked to besides Jazzie Pha and Future?

Yall acting like Aaliyah was an amazing actress...stop it

And Aaliyah's fan be going hard to defend her like they was breaking bread with the girl.

She was a decent singer and that was it, i feel niggas just sad cause she was pretty. If she was ugly i dont think they would be going this hard for her

You ever seen Fantasia? She ain't much to look at but she can sing her ass off. You sound like a female.

Her songs wasn't great.

They were catchy and ain't like she wrote them.

She couldnt write or sing. Just catchy songs with great production behind them.

Stop trying to revise history. It's not a good look.

Ya niggas with ya speculating, ya don't know shit... Death elevated her status, but to say she wasn't talented is bad form. She could sing and her acting wasn't great but it wasn't bad. She also could dance very well. She wasn't this super megastar, but she was climbing.

As far as being relevant today, if you got the fan base and good music, than you will sell.

Her being alive would not effect anyone's music selling capabilities because everyone had their lane.
