i remember seeing an interview with tupac (which im sure most of you have also seen)

in which he describes not being able to get ANY play at the club, then a year later (after he blows up)

suddenly women find him irresistible. he didn't seem bitter, just seemed like he'd discovered a key point about alot of women:

with them, attraction can be manipulated. men dont work that way.

precious could win 5 oscars in a row, drop an album on Roc Nation and create the next ipod and niggas still wouldnt fuck

Ha! I've had this situation happen a few times in the past year or so.

Usually I revenge fuck 'em until they see it'll never be anything serious and stop calling.

They came out the woodwork after I got into a higher profile gig and began making something of myself.

I'm not with wifing chicks like that. If you couldnt see the potential before, you dont deserve the spoils after.

this man speaks the truth

I see you're keeping score.

I don't see how you "hurt" yourself. You just made a decision based on bitterness. Stop acting like you're of high moral character. You're half devil and not even embracing it.

I'm going to do some thinking about whether or not "bitterness" should always be looked down upon. Is bitterness always a negative thing?

Semantics.

If you're "letting it stay there" you're forgetting it. What's the point of remembering it if you won't use it in the future?

I don't understand the significance of crying in this instance. Nor do I listen to a lot of R&B.

If I did cry myself to sleep it would be to "Back That Ass Up" or "Fuck The Police."

If I was still feeling her, why the fuck would I shove it in her face. Lol. I'ma tell you some real shit that a lot of niggas on the IC could prolly benefit from. Some shit I learned a long time ago:

Pride and Ego destroy great men.

No it's not the same

Hence the reason people can forgive yet not forget

You can still take those life lessons with you without revisiting a past relationship

Most refer to that as progress

Hey if fuck the police gets you to ignore fat booty lying ass Keisha

I'm all for it

Great question. I'll say yes: bitterness is always bad because it only affects you and future interactions with others.

Plus, being bitter changes your face and changes your personality. Literally. I can look at a woman and tell if she's holding on to a past hurt just by how she holds her face.

A truly bitter person....that bitterness seeps all through the fiber of their being: the way they talk, the way they act toward the opposite sex. their views on the world.

one thing my mother taught me is to never dwell on a past hurt or past loss. after she left my father, that nigga NEVER got over it. and that was in 1994. to this day he still tells her he wishes he had done right. dude is a wreck, drinker, etc...

being bitter is like putting a cap on any hope of future happiness

This is true. And it's a huge turn-off.
