Worst job I had was when I was in PA for 6 months around age 18. I got there through a temp agency making 9.75 an hour I can't remember what that shit was called but I had to lift cinder blocks from 6AM til 4:30 PM. It took me like an hour to find this place as it was on a hill on a back road with no signs and 2 windows. I go in and the manager who looked like stone cold gives me a walk through and I notice I'm the only black dude in there and he grabs this filthy ass hard hat covered in asbestos and mesothelioma blows it off and hands it to me. They would drop pallets of cinder blocks off and I had to take em 1 by 1 and put em on a conveyor belt going like 3mph. Each block was like 50 pounds, then they moved me to an area where I had to grab 75 pound cinder blocks and stack em. Worst part was we only got 1 break that was 12:30-1 no 15 minute breaks or nothing bruh I was SICK. I went the next day and they sent me hope after 2 hours cuz I was too frail and slowing things up dawg I was so relieved they fired me I went home and took a 6 hour nap

This is the funniest story to me. Picking up cinder blocks for 10 hours with only a 30 min break. Lmao! I would've quit during first day or never came back the second day.

I just moved out there and needed rent money, shit was brutal tho, I've got a few more stories I can drop in this thread later but that job was the WOAT

I did Cutco as well after freshman year in college. Same exact thing, super vague description then you had a presentation with some clown cutting ropes and pennies with a knife. Left after the first day...

Yeah I know Cutco, just by orientation. Some how they got my info while I was in school and hit me up by mail. I was broke so I went to they orientation to see what they was talking about. Nothing! They actually wanted us to pay them to sell they knives and work our way up to getting paid. We in the building hearing dude's lecture and all of a sudden some white, grey bearded, drunk guy walks in and takes a look around, then walks right out. Everyone sittin' there looking around like what just happened tryna hold in they laughing.

Shit wasn't a real job, but I got fired from a volunteer job.

Had to hold signs up and pass out pamphlets/flyers for the candidate that was running for councilman or mayor, I can't remember what that candidate was running for. Nigga had to be on the corner at 6 a.m. that morning which was a Saturday and work until 8 p.m. A nigga had just went out that Friday night, woke up tired as shit that morning and I was like man fuck that shit, I don't think I can do the whole day, my cuzin was like man let's just go out there. So we go out there and post up, man that sleep hit a nigga while on that corner, I took them them signs and stood/lean them shits up against the car and we put them flyers on the front window of the car and let the wipers hold them shits down, we got in the car and dozed off. One of the team leaders/candidate personal's drove by and woke us up and told us we were no longer needed, got mad at us cuz we were sleep instead of standing on the corner passing out flyers. My cuzin was like "we was like fuck that nigga, We aint voting for that nigga anyway" Lol.

Far as me, mine had to either be a telemarketer while on summer vacation from school. That was a side gig to keep some $$ in my pocket, but it had drama to it. All kinds of hoodrats, dudes w/ no cars, always somebody failing a drug test and what not working there.

The floor leads would spy on your conversations even when you hit the mute button. Me and this other co-worker was talking about the ladies and they heard all of it. All of it.

Getting cussed out by ppl on the other end was daily, but I got used to it. The most pissed off customers were the ones who was on a no call list for telemarketers, but somehow they phone numbers would still pop up on the computer. So it ain't like we had a list to dial the numbers from or whatnot, its just the computers would pull up they info and the call would go through to that number. Still remember the threats that they were gonna sue me, sue the company, heavy breathing, and yelling. That didn't stop me tho, cause I needed a check.

One cat who was like 20 yo had an uncle like 18 yo and they ain't have no rides to work, so I offered to give em a lift when we had the same shifts. We used to go clubbing and whatnot together too. I got fired and had the cops called on me cause the uncle asked for the keys to my car during lunch break saying he left his food in there. He took off w/ the whip and to this day I still do not know where he went. Came back and he left a pistol in the car (in plain sight). Cops came, talking bout since he didn't claim it and I ain't claim it, but its my car then its my gun. I got off easy cause the entire office knew what went down and the cop took the gun, ran the serial and it ain't come back stolen so I guess that's why I didn't get arrested. Still don't understand how this went down.....

Manager came back there and seen all that in the trash and was mad as hell. My co workers looked out and blamed it on this jackass that nobody liked so he took the heat for it.

They used to "mop" by pouring buckets of soapy water on that slipper ass floor, during lunch hour no less, had everybody in danger of mcfallin on that hot ass griddle. I'm like naw man. I never went back after my 2nd day except to pickup my check. The manager tried giving me the responsibility talk, thinking about my future and what not to get me to stay. I'm like I appreciate it but I'm good bro.

LOL

I don't go to McDonalds because I don't eat that slop anymore but a couple days ago I went in there and bought a water so I could use the bathroom and encountered the most miserable employee I've ever seen. I don't expect anyone at McDonald's to be an enthusiastic employee but shit was next level.

I'm trying to get this lil teenage niggas attention to ask to get the bathroom unlocked, he's sweeping the floor and trying his hardest to ignore me. I asked him and he made a noise, wasn't even a word, he literally grunted and kept sweeping and staring at the floor. His demeanor and communication skills were like a Chief Keef interview. Again I'm like "yo is there a key or whatsup?" He finally looked up at me and mumbled "I dunno" then looked back down and kept sweeping. I just left. thinking bruh you're making me sad right now, for you.

As for my jobs, Walmart, on the line of New Bedford and Westport MA, which is a geographically weird spot because it's where the city and hood transitions to rural farmland. 5 miles in one direction is one of the most dangerous cities in Massachusetts (shoutout to Newton and @5 Grands suburban ninja rapists tho), 5 miles in the other direction, rednecks, goats, sheep. And on Sundays, the worst of both worlds would descend on Walmart to get their bargain deals. Endless fuckery.http://www.peopleofwalmart.com status.

One time a woman spazzed on me because her purse got stolen. She left it in her shopping cart, outside by her car, in broad daylight while she went back in the store for something. She kept yelling at me that she "just left for a minute, it was right there!" I'm just looking at her like yes bitch...you left your wallet sitting outside in a parking lot unattended, wtf did you expect and what do you want me to do about it.

I was a college freshman and I'd be closing there til 10:30 at night then when I'd get back to campus everyone was already drunk and I was always late to the party.

After a few months one morning I woke up hungover at a friends campus in a different state. I was supposed to drive back to do an afternoon shift and I called them up like "yea I'm not going to be able to make it in today... or ever... never... again..."

4th worst job I ever had, I'll tell you the 2nd worst job I had. Bob's discount furniture warehouse last year. I got through via temp agency and was making $9.50 an hour compared to the associates making like $13-$14 an hour. The start time was 4am til u were done I had to unload 15 trucks (with a team) each piece was 200+ pounds then once each piece was processed I had to grab a dolly and wheel the furniture 1 by 1 to the other side of the warehouse which was over half a mile. Having catnapper recliners, dressers, headboards, shelved, king size beds, etc. On your back was stressful especially when you don't know when u get off lls. Man I got off at 3pm walked through the door like

tumblr_mbteqdaUKv1renuivo1_500.gif

My mom who has NEVER said this was like "I don't think this job is for you, look for something else for your health " the 2nd day they called and asked why I didn't come at 4 and if I wanted to keep the job I can come in at 1pm I told em I was gonna slide through. I thought about it for a second and hit the plug, reupped and sold some bags and said fuck that job $9.50 wasn't enough to deal for that fuckery lls

Working at call centers is the worst. I used to work for Sprint. It was cool at first. After awhile I hated working there. The only perk were the extracurricular activities after work. Being that call centers are mostly filled with women a nigga had options. I hated that supervisors were on the floor monitoring calls and would call you out publicly if you did something wrong. I started taking 50-70 calls when I first started to taking 100+ calls. I stopped going back when they started to link your customer service to your pay rate. If you would have one or two bad calls, they would pay you less money than the pay rate you signed up for. Example, the job paid 8.25 an hour, the state minimum wage is $8. If you got a bad call them sons of bitches would pay you 7.75 an hour instead of 8.25. I remember going over my pay check and saw I got paid less

hjqsytxp1zoc.gif

Fuck them niggas. Between dealing with supervisors who think they can talk to you any kind of way because of their position, no overtime, and working long hours

I would take it, so that you would atleast have some I.t. Experience on your resume. Also see if you can volunteer in their server room to get some experience. I volunteer in my noc and the managers can't wait until I transfer to their department, but I'm trying to see if they can get me transferred to the switch in Atlanta.

I used to work for the San Francisco Conservation Corps (job corps type of shit), doing construction in the projects in Hunters Point for 6.75 an hour. On paper it's WOAT, but due to the amount of blunts smoked on the job and criminal knowledge picked up upon from my coworkers, it wasn't too bad. I had to leave my house at 530am to go to the Sfcc meeting center... Only to drive my house to the job site. I asked if I could just meet them in HP and they said no, triggering my fuck this job reflex.

The real WOAT was being a bouncer at a combination bowling alley/ night club in SF. They were really strict about dress code, in particular people sagging their pants. I couldn't get past the fact that they really wanted me and my fellow bouncers to look at dude's asses and check if their pants were right.

I just couldn't do it. The guys that had been there a while checked asses without thinking, and it struck me as some fleece johnson shit.

I lasted 3 days.

I'm in Desktop and HelpDesk and they flop us back and forth cause they want 1 man less in each section. Cheap, sorry, worthless company got like 1 month left and they out the door for a new one. Thank the Most High!

Anyway that NOC/Server stuff seems to difficult for me. But then again, I did say the same thing about Desktop. I need to quit being lazy and at least see what they got to offer....

I volunteer in my noc and the managers can't wait until I transfer to their department, but I'm trying to see if they can get me transferred to the switch in Atlanta.

I need to quit being lazy and at least see what they got to offer....

try technical support for an enterprise company (5k or more people). normally they have several different desk and u can get away from the being pulled all over the place.
