Yeah you're definitly right and i think we have seen the end of that era, thats why an artist like Jeezy doesnt have the same mainstream support for an album as he once had. Those type rappers have a particular fanbase that will help them sell out venues yet cant sell an album. Jeezy comes to Baltimore every yr or 2 and sells out every time yet ppl on the IC talk about he's irrevelant. Yo Gotti comes here 2-3 every yr yet he still sells out every time, so theres an audience but just not that much to sell an album.

I think music has actually changed alot wit the Wiz Khalifa's and Big Seans, and J. Coles. I listen to every type of rap its just that Jeezy is who i relate to the most.

Was good homie.....yea, jezzy, yo gotti, boosie, jay z, ect are huge attractions in baltimore. When ever they come here, they defaintly sell out every show. Only on the ic do I hear all this consistant bashing of jezzy. A lot of my homies ride for jezzy heavy here, I don't know how he's precieved in other cities. Ross get love here as well, but he not on jay z or jezzy level when you talk about people wanting to defend there music in debates, I done seen dudes catch feelings when talking slick bout jay and jezzy, never with ross. Only on the ic do I see people defend ross like this.

A few rappers have done stints in the military. I saw Freddie Gibbs in concert when I went to see Big Krit. Homie can spit. He was on that gangsta ish really heavy. He's an entertainer.

Same here, I saw when he came out to VA for the Return Of 4Eva tour.

I don't think attending college or having a father as a police officer takes away from his credibility.

To me, it's a good thing that he went to college for a minute.

It definitely won't damage his career. The fans, nowdays, let just about anything slide as long as you put out hits

The real question is, will Gibbs be marketable/able to appeal to the fans of today. I like his music, but many of the fans of today base their taste on an artist's "swag"

His background is not even an issue IMO.
