So because you can't wrap your mind around their tech they don't exist.
Technology has a limit
Technology can only work within the laws the universe
lol Yes, but our understanding of the laws of the universe are flawed and limited. That's where the hubris comes in, and honestly, it's not really hubris, it's ignorance because most of the people that make these kinds of comments simply don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
What I am saying is that we know enough about the laws of the universe to exclude certain things from plausibility and advanced aliens is one of those things.
I know what you're saying, and what I'm saying is that you are incorrect. You can say certain things are implausible based on our current knowledge, but it's foolish to act like what we know about the universe is absolute enough to dismiss something like the existence of aliens. For example, if you look deeper into how the semiconductors that run devices like computers and smartphones work, you'll see the functionality is explained using quantum mechanics and electrodynamics principles. If you go back a few centuries, people had no understanding of quantum mechanics and limited understanding of electrodynamics. All they knew was Newtonian mechanics. Based on their understanding, transistors couldn't exist. If they had used your logic, they would have believed that computers that can complete millions of calculations in seconds would have been impossible.
that's not true. WE KNOW THE SPEED OF LIGHT IS ABSOLUTE AND WE KNOW THAT THE UNIVERSE IS EXPANDING NOT SHRINKING. We don't know all the absolutes of the universe but those two are enough. With those two pieces of information alone we know that FTL travel IS IMPOSSIBLE without using some imaginary substance or impossible amounts of energy. Those 2 pieces of information are true for us AND would be true for aliens.
which is why anytime you hear a scientist talk about FTL they presuppose certain things that are incredible implausible. Centuries ago even educated people did not know what we know now but they did at least know the earth was round and not flat. For your position to be valid EVERYTHING we know needs to be thrown out
soo we would have to go from saying the earth was round to saying the earth was flat, do you understand what i am trying to say??? The speed of light, the size and expanding nature of the universe and many other things would have to be proven wrong for your position to be true and we know for a fact that they are not
I don't know how you come to the conclusion that the bold is true. Again, you should stop because you don't know what you're talking about. Yes, according to Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity, the speed of light is essentially a universal speed limit. Even if that turns out to be absolutely true in all circumstances, it's already been proven that there are ways to bend that law if you can't break it. Where do you think the warp drive from Star Trek came from? Do you think Gene Roddenberry just pulled that out of his ass? No, it's based on real scientific theory. Einstein's theory of General Relativity allows for the warping of space time that would allow objects to travel between points A and B faster than the speed of light without even moving relative to space. This would preserve the light speed limit while also making it possible to cross great distances far faster than light. Now, if our current theories and understanding of physics already allow for these things, how can you say that being who may have hundreds of thousands of years of a head start on us couldn't have figured things out? You can't, so stop it.
lol I already told you why things like warp drive cannot realistically be done. It would require too much energy so while on paper things like warp drive and worm hole should be possible in reality they can never be created, in essence they are nothing more than thought experiments. SCIENTIST have already calculated how much energy would be needed for things like warp drive and worm holes. For the latter it's something like half of all the energy in the universe and for the former even the most optimistic theories require astronomical amounts of energy.
