Hockey is the shit. I've watched it for years, but finally went to a couple of Devils games this past season.

It's true, though. You actually have to go to a game to get a proper appreciation for it.

Yeah the gap between hockey on tv and hockey IRL is too massive for words. I can only imagine being in the building for something like a Stanley Cup win or the '72 Summit Series or the "Miracle on Ice". I only really follow the Flyers. For the rest of the league i am more of a casual fan. I really get involved during the playoff tho. Playoff hockey is something special. If people would get over the stigma that there is no scoring in hockey they would enjoy it more imo. Think of a goal as a touchdown in the NFL. A 3-1 hockey score is equal to a 21-7 NFL score imo. Hockey is fast paced non stop action. What's not to like? I'm a lifelong hardcore NFL fan but let's be real the game is saturated with stoppage of action. Commercials and replays/reviews rule the NFL. You just witnessed your favorite team throw a 50 yard td bomb and after the replay/reviews to see if the receiver actually caught the ball, it's extra point then commercial. Followed by kick off return then commercial. LOl. Still love it tho.

Mainly cause they don't score enough. It's my same problem with the NFL and Soccer. It's hard as hell for me to watch anything for 2 hours and the team might only score twice or three times and that's the average score to the end of the game. I used to go to the games when I was in college. Those games are fun to play but hard to watch. Find a way for Hockey, Soccer and the NFL to score more and I might do more than watch the Stanley Cup, Super Bowl and FIFA

Hockey....i wanted to get into it for years but for one reason or another I just didnt. There was just too much onmy plate. Nfl, college footbal, nba, boxing plus other shit i used to watch. Then I got bored with the nba and started watching hockey this past post season and fell in love. The passing, speed of the game, the break away plays, fighting, aggressiveness, the random scoring plays, scoring chances and how hype the announcers get at a scoring chance. I'm loving hockey and can't wait until the season starts. I can enjoy a physical low scoring game just as much as I can a high scoring one.
